I’m not going to lie. This was me and my husbands FAVORITE place we stopped at on DC. I didn’t want to leave, everything was delicious. The staff are amazing and patient for those who do not know sign language. I didn’t have any issues with feeling sick and the food impressed my gluten-eating husband. We will definitely come back just to eat here again
I was excited to go here after the reviews, except the pain…
The environment: Super nice vibes. Quiet, good music, and all staff were friendly.
Service: Our server was deaf and signed and was super patient because we don’t. She gave probably the best service I’ve had in a while at a restaurant. Food came out at different times.
The food: The gluten eaters got pizza and breadsticks and LOVED them. The Celiac girls got the mozzarella planks (SO GOOD,) cauliflower wings (not as good as I hoped for,) and the meatballs-3 huge meatballs (they were ok-tasted like a hunk of hamburger with some sauce on it-my daughter liked it though.)
The bill: They do charge an 18% “service fee” and then you tip separately from that…however, the calculated tip they provide is based off the cost of food not including the service charge.
Unfortunately, within 20 minutes, I had symptoms of cross contamination and my daughter had sharp abdominal pain. No
At Mozzeria, we are committed to providing a diverse range of dining options to cater to all our guests, including those with gluten sensitivities or those who prefer vegetarian or vegan choices.
Please be aware:
While we offer gluten-free (GF) and vegetarian/vegan options, our dishes are prepared in an environment where gluten and animal products are handled.
Our gluten-free crusts are specially made in a separate, offsite facility to reduce the risk of cross-contamination. However, as our kitchen handles a variety of ingredients, we cannot guarantee a 100% gluten-free environment.
We understand the seriousness of food allergies and dietary restrictions. We encourage our guests to discuss their dietary needs with our manager. This way, we can strive to provide you with the safest and most enjoyable dining experience possible.
This was such an amazing experience. Among some of the best gf pizza i’ve had (and i’ve had a lot!). They prepare it separate so it’s safe for celiac! i also got the mozzarella sticks which i haven’t been able to have since diagnosis and it was DELICIOUS! 11/10 recommend and the service was wonderful
Fried mozzarella cheese and flavorful homemade meatballs! The apps were my favorite and the pizza toppings were delish, although the crust was just OK. Next time I will ask for well done. My daughter was excited to practice her sign language, and the staff were very patient and kind with the rest of us that can’t sign.
Perfection! The GF pizza is delicious, the staff are lovely, and the options are abundant. This is a great place for when you’re hungry and tired of explaining CD *yet again* and praying that your waiter and the kitchen understand. All GF orders are handled through a separate channel in the kitchen, and GF and non-GF pizzas don’t share the same oven space. I’ve had a great visit every time and never felt sick here. Just flag to the staff that you want the GF pizza and you’re good to go.
Some of the best GF crust I've tried, and I've tried a few.
This restaurant is one of a kind. Each staff member takes extra precaution to make sure your order is perfect. They have the FLUFFIEST gluten free crust that is super large and made in house. They assured me that they have a separate kitchen in the back with a separate oven for the pizza.
