Gluten free Brownie is Devine with a strawberry and a swirl of cream, within a quaint tea shop in the timeless village of Ambleside. This hit the spot with a creamy flat white coffee, after a hard long walk up a mountain!

My friend and I went for a tea and tea cake at Mr He’s cafe, it was the best and nicest cafe I have been to, very clean and lovely servers, there was 3 men serving and Mr H himself was preparing food, I was watching him and he was brilliant. The toilets were spotless. And you couldn’t have asked for nicest people serving you. I really hope they do well, if i lived there I would definitely go in there all the time, unfortunately we were on a coach walking trip. Loved it 😊

Very cute place, staff familiar with gluten-free and can put all sandwiches on gf bread that was tastier than the usual gf bread I encounter. Gf brownie that was DELICIOUS too. Same prep service as regular sandwiches & a lot of pastries tho, so for celiacs warning as cross-contamination happens.

The lady who served me was also gluten free herself, she was very nice and talked me through the menu. Lots of choice as any sandwich could be made with GF bread and they had GF brownies. I had a jacket potato and it was lovely. Massive portion sizes too!
