Great comfort food restaurant, reminds you of a Coney Island. The gluten free pancakes are SOOOOOO GOOD!!! They don't taste gluten free at all, very soft and fluffy!! Lots of gluten free variety such as pasta, cake, burgers w/bun etc, and the gf menu is always expanding! Very personable owners and staff. The owners wife has celiac. My waiter was very pleasant and accommodating about my gluten allergy.
The staff and owner are very knowledgeable about celiac. The food is delicious and inspired by the owner! All reasonably priced as well!!
Yummy! Great service! Our server was very knowledgeable about GF and Celiac. Had GF chicken tenders, fries and pierogi. All food was delicious! Great to be able to eat fries again since McDonald’s fries are no longer an option due to them frying donut sticks in the same fryer. Mr. Mike’s is now my go to place for eating out!
Great good, great service, knowledgeable and take it seriously! My 6 year old celiac eats here with no issues and I can actually relax knowing he won’t be cross contaminated.
I love their breakfast options. I eat here often and I haven’t gotten sick!!
Excellent GF menu with lots of choices. Angie was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Excellent server! My husband enjoyed his non gf breakfast as well. The club sandwich was awesome and they even cooked the fries in a separate fryer. We will be back!
I have eaten here two times for breakfast and it was great! The owner has celiac and her daughter works there also. They understand about cross-contamination. I want to come for lunch or dinner sometime. The owner said she has expanded the GF menu and have GF pierogies.
I am a strict super sensitive Celiac- zero problems here and I have been multiple times. The owner also has Celiac so she is very knowledgeable.
great Gliten free menu.great place..
This was my hangout, I have now been "glutened" three times. I will Not be back nor can I continue to recommend this grill if you are GF.
Amazing selection including gluten free perogies, great service also.
Me & my kids eat gluten free out of necessity. Stopped in because we heard about it from another parent. They have a great menu, with more variety than just salads everywhere you go. I saw the disclaimer on the menu but that is standard with all places, so it didn't bring too much concern. Love that they offer gluten free fries and they prepare everything in a separate place! I got a GF Reuben, my kids got GF Spaghetti with GF Garlic toast and the other got GF pancakes with sausage. The price was very reasonable as well. It was all very well prepared, all delicious, and the owner came out to talk to us and welcome us for coming. That was nice! My husband doesn't eat GF and their regular menu is pretty big, so that is good for him, too! I waited a day to see if me and the kids got ill, and we were good to go! :) We will be returning. (And trying the GF Chocolate Lava cake!!) Thank you.
Delicious food!! Good prices! Plenty of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! The owner has celiac so she truly understands. I was told they have a separate space in the kitchen for gf.
I ordered blueberry pancakes, bacon, eggs, toast hashbrowns. All gluten free and delicious, and did not get sick!!!! Waitress seemed like it was no big deal and happy to cater to celiacs!
One of the owners has celiac so it has been her mission to bring good gf options to the community. I had the pancakes and they were amazing. I am already looking forward to my next visit.
I have faith that the kitchen staff will not cross-contaminate my food. The manager comes to our table each time we visit to ensure the kitchen and staff are well trained to handle my gluten free order.
Good food, good service, great prices.
really great food very knowledgeable staff
This restaurant was awesome!! Would definitely recommend. I was visiting from North Carolina and Hiyam, the owner is celiac also, went above and beyond to make my meal excellent for me. The BEST gluten free French toast!!! Will be back during my visit for sure.
Huge sign on the window that says certified gluten free, but the menu has a big disclaimer explaining they only make their food safe for gluten sensitivities. I fall into that category, so lucky me -- but if you react due to cross contamination, stay clear!!!!!
After a long drive from Cincinnati, it was great to find a casual restaurant with safe, tasty, gluten free options for dinner -- and that was open on a Monday. The owner reassured me that they serve gluten free meals to Celiac all the time and that she also has Celiac disease. I had a Swiss cheese omelet that fluffy and delicious with a side of sausage and gluten-free French toast. My dining companion who also eats one a GF diet enjoyed the grilled chicken Parmesan with GF rice pasta and GF garlic bread. The highlight of the meal was the special dish that the owner made for us, made of lentils, rice, tomatoes and some wonderful Middle Eastern spices. We look forward to visiting again for the BBQ and GF lava cake for dessert. As for avoiding cross contamination, they grill the GF items on the gridle with aluminum foil under it. they also use fresh utensils and cooking ware for gluten free meals
The food was delicious. I had a Reuben on gf bread. The owner was fantastic, and seems to really take gluten free seriously. they have a separate kitchen space to prepare gf orders.
I have dined in here and my food was prepared correctly, although the GF menu has items listed on there that they eliminate from your food so when it comes to you and the item on the menu listed cheese and you receive your food yet no cheese so you ask your waitress why there is no cheese and they say oh its not gluten free so we don't put it on there well go looking out but the GF menu has it listed on the item menu needs to be upgraded and changed or the wait staff needs to become more educated and offer American cheese at the time of ordering due to their shredded cheese is it gluten also although they state gluten-free the food is not prepared in its own separate safe work area for no cross contamination also if placing carry out make sure you check your food I've gotten regular sausage instead of gluten free sausage in my meal
I was thrilled to see that Mr Mike's Grill now has an extensive gluten free offering. My meal was excellent and I felt very safe. There is a separate cooking area (still in the main kitchen) that is dedicated to GF prep and cooking. The menu is continually changing as they work to bring safe gluten free items to the choices. There is also a separate banquet room (max 85) with a door that can be closed for privacy.
Mr. Mike's is under new ownership. The mom is celiac and is continually adding items to the menu. They are using gluten-free breads and pastas which is nice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very friendly and open to gf suggestions.
Mr. Mike's Grill in Westland offers a variety of gluten free items on their new menu, including breakfasts lunches, and dinners. They change the items up every now and then as they add to the menu and everything is made fresh and to order.
