Gluten free buns for the burgers. Seemingly knowledgeable staff. Been there many times, sometimes a reaction, sometimes not. Burgers have been getting smaller and smaller over the last couple years: “where’s the beef!” F Friend recently got sick and when asked about it was told what she ordered wasn’t in fact GF.
Their menu indicates a few gf options. I also have a dairy allergy, which very much limited my choices. I ordered a burger with bacon ($11) and a lettuce/tomato salad. The gf buns are not dairy free, so I got it bunless. The lettuce/tomato salad came out with croutons, so I sent it back. The new salad had no croutons, but contained what looked like shreds of cheese on it. I gave up and didn't want to attempt a third try, so I ate my hamburger patty and two bacon slices. I'd say you are taking your chances with gf items, and would not gamble with accommodating other allergies.
No
Been here several times and enjoyed a burger. Last two times I've ordered Shrimp and Grits which they said they could make GF. Been violently ill both times (they were about six months apart and I forgot until I got sick the second time that I had been sick the first time) so something isn't quite right with that dish for those with severe gluten intolerance.
The BEST gf homemade buns and rolls in all of Charleston!!
Yes
Had burger and side salad. Does not use dedicated fryer so fries are not gf.
