Murakami Sushi

I ordered sushi from Murakami via DoorDash (avocado rolls). The restaurant called me and told me they cannot guarantee the order would be celiac safe. They said they cannot avoid cross contamination. Not sure if it is the same when you are dining inside the restaurant, but wanted to flag that ordering might be different. Especially after reading the rest of the reviews.

Points for at least calling and letting me know food won’t be safe to eat.

I asked the staff about whether they are GF knowledgeable. They didn’t seem to know, so I ordered something safe (sushi bowl) with total trust in the reviews on this awesome app. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Rice was excellent as well. I scooped out the wasabi just in case. Didn’t get sick!

Solid stripped down LA sushi spot with consistent quality fish. Standard fare and sushi bowls all available and reasonably priced. A great neighborhood spot.

They offer GF soy sauce and the chef said the rice is GF as well. The waitress said they use a grain vinegar on the rice when I asked her to see if it was malted.

I did Nima test just to be safe and it came back safe!

Delicious. knowledgable enough as long you are already knowledgable. gluten free soy sauce available too. safe for gluten and dairy free.

Very accommodating with gluten free preparation. Very fresh fish!
