Murph's Bistro, Derragarra Inn, Cavan

I first went to the original Derragara Inn in the 1980’s before I was diagnosed with Celiacs. It was a pleasant surprise to find this place is now a top restaurant for people with celiacs. The food was excellent and the staff was very aware of the requirements o people with celiacs. This is the best food I’ve had on my 10 day visit to Ireland and I felt totally safe.

Wide range of Gluten Free options available from the menu in Murphs Bistro. GF bread available with the soup. There was no GF bap available for my beef burger but the sliced bread as an alternative was fine. Tasty food as always and very reasonably priced.

One of the tastiest gluten free meals I’ve ever had. The seafood chowder (served with toasted gf bread) and chicken wings (made in a dedicated gf fryer) were delicious as appetizers and the tandoori chicken salad was colorful and tasty. I can’t wait to go back to try more food. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and it is a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.
