I don’t have a gluten sensitivity this was the only site that would let me leave a review. We had the shrimp ceviche, Margaritas, and the guacamole. I had some type of food poisoning from this restaurant and was sick and bed ridden all day after going here. I didn’t love the service either. So sad because the ambiance was great.
We stopped there for lunch today and due to the overwhelmingly great reviews here we didn't really ask about their practices. I had the amazing Pollo Enchilada. I'm a bit of a Mexican food snob, and this was probably the best enchiladas I've had in a while. My husband had the HUITLACOCHE quesadilla, which was gluten free. It was almost like a Mexican pizza with a thin corn crust. They were very aware of allergies and asked good questions so we felt pretty safe. My husband also had their house margarita but said it was only a 3 out of 5. There servers were great and the atmosphere was very sophisticated and would be date night worthy.
We ate here tonight for dinner. I have celiac and need GF but my wife does not. We both got 3 tacos each. I had the GF Califlower, Pollo, and Pork Shoulder. She had the Mahi Mahi, Pork Shoulder, and Braised Ribs. The portions were small, the place was loud, and it was $28 for six tacos. That said it was delicious and the flavors were outstanding in the tacos. I didn’t get sick and we would go back for a snack of tacos.
I had the pick three tacos, pork belly, pork shoulder and the cauliflower. All delish. Only bummer for me was that the chips were fried so I couldn’t have guacamole but the server offered to bring out corn tortillas instead. Lots of GF options. Everyone in our group of 8 loved their dinner.
Outstanding food. Enough GF and vegetarian options to keep everyone
my daughter had the kids Quesadillas (2) with chicken that is GF. She liked themso much that she ordered 2 more. It's a shame that the corn chips are NOT GF. Our waiter was GF aware. The menu has dinner menu has GF items marked, but kids menu does not. The number of GF items on the menu is limited.
Gluten free items are labeled on the menu; however, if you get the guacamole, be prepared to spend an extra $3 for an order of corn tortillas unless you want to eat it with a spoon! The tortilla chips are not safe. The waiter didn't know exactly what items were GF, so double check with the menu if he or she offers something to you (i.e., the rice). The quesadillas were amazing! The snapper ceviche was a little too sweet, but food was overall very delicious.
