Great dinner! The chef came out and we created an entree of a “bare” lamb burger, lettuce and onion and asparagus. Perfect and tasty.
The staff very knowledgeable...GFree pasta and butter was fine.
Very good burger. No GF fryer but got roasted potatoes instead which were great! Was able to order banana caramel flourless chocolate cake which was also good. BTW, the GF bread they bring out is the best bread I've ever had...even better than non gluten free bread!!!
They actually had a gf bread basket which was delicious (almost tasted like soft pretzel bites)! They make note of allergies /Celiac on your order ticket. Waiter was really nice and helpful!
Food was great...my son got the pad thai...it was very good...My meal was good but was supposed to come with rice but it couldn’t because it was no longer GF so I had to get mashed potatoes. They gave us a basket of Gf bread which was very good. All in all, they had a pretty decent GF selection. The Fries are no longer GF because they no longer have a separate fryer...for this reason and because they have a limited bar selection (which did NOT include Tito’s vodka), I took away a star. I am not a big drinker but was really looking forward to a vacay Tito’s and Tonic and they disappointed. They had no gluten free vodka alternatives either.
Tomato soup was excellent Pad Thai was very good, risotto was excellent, they brought warm gluten free bread for us as an appetizer while everyone else was eating bread. Knowledgeable staff. A number of things that were GF on the menu- good variety.
OK food. Get the lamb burger...nice and moist. Had BLT chicken sandwich (actually a burger). Chicken was dry with little flavor. Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable regarding GF. Bring a sweater...beautiful surroundings but kinda cool. No GF fries. However the manager have us our chicken burgers complimentary!! Nice touch.
The server was accommodating and helpful. He was able to communicate my allergies to the chef and reassure me. I got a burger and he let me know that the fries were not safe due to cross contamination. Decent food for a theme park and they had gluten free bread to bring at the start of the meal which was a really nice touch.
Very knowledgeable staff. Separate kitchen for celiac and allergy prep. Delicious food, lots of options. The gluten free bread was the best I’ve had.
Themed restaurant with comfortable seating in Universal. Waiter asked about dietary needs and discussed with Chef. He advised safest options. No french fries as fryer is not dedicated. Limited options. Warmed GF bread with butter was good. My son enjoyed his burger w/gf roll and my plain chicken (bland) and roasted potatoes (salty) were okay. Most importantly to us, we didn't get sick.
I’d give this place five stars even if it weren’t in a theme park. Beef medallions are unbelievable and come GF as-is. Our waitress was so friendly and served gluten free bread for the two of us who couldn’t partake in the regular bread.
They are the #1 theme park restaurant in the world six years in a row! And you can sure tell! It was awesome! I wish we had gone there more then once. The GF options were indicated on the menu and the staff was very knowledgeable about my allergy. they did have gluten free bread that was delicious! I got the beef medallions with a corn succotash, roasted potatoes and chimichurri sauce. My husband got the lamb burger with gluten free bun, which was delicious as well, but we were told we couldn’t have the fries because they were fried so he got mashed potatoes instead which were good too. We will definitely eat there again if we ever make it back to universal Studios!
I recently visited Universal Studios Orlando and ate at Mythos. Items that are gluten free are indicated on their menu. I ate the Tuscan Tomato Soup (this was absolutely delicious!), Beef Medallions w/ Herb roasted fingerling potatoes, summer cannellini and corn succotash, fresh watercress and chimichurri. It was fabulous! They even brought out gluten free bread for me at the beginning of the meal so I wasn't just sitting there watching everyone else eat. It came warm and was delicious, but eat it while it's warm, once the bread begins to cool it gets chewy as gluten free bread often does. They also have a delicious dessert. It was warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice-cream and bananas. I am very sensitive to gluten and I did not get sick. I would eat there again.
Fantastic theme park food! The server was aware of gluten. Ordered the Mezze platter with carrots instead of pita bread. Had the daily risotto for lunch, which included beef medallions on veggie risotto. They modified to be GF. Really good.
Expensive, but a good selection of GF items. Rolls are no longer GF. Son got burger with GF bun & fries (dedicated fryer). I got fish tacos - somewhat bland.
Not just some of the best themepark food I've ever had but some of the best gluten-free food I've had in general
Menu is clearly labeled and food is very good. The bread was so good that I didn't believe it was GF! Tested the Mythos burger, bun, and fries with my Nima sensor, no gluten found!
We had enjoyable lunch outside. Good GF selections! GF burger buns, fries made in a separate GF firer and warm GF bread served before our meal.
Excellent choices. Knowledgeable staff. Best choice at universal
Great GF options. Great atmosphere. Manager came out to answer questions. GF bread was amazing. Delicious dips, burgers, and fish.
We were very impressed with Mythos GF options! We have multiple severe food allergies & they were very knowledgeable & accommodating! They offer delicious GF rolls for you to enjoy, so you don't have to be left out & sad while others enjoy their bread.
Fantastic lunch option at Universal Studios but I'd recommend getting there right at 11 (when it opens) or making a reservation as it can be crowded. Staff was knowledgeable and the signature burger with lamb was amazing, as was the gooey chocolate banana cake!
told the hostess that I had celiac and a dairy allergy, and they relayed the message to the wait staff. our amazing waiter mike went through the menu with me and brought gluten/dairy free bread with olive oil out before my meal. I had a bacon burger with no cheese, added avocado and fries made in. dedicated fryer. food was absolutely delicious.
So worth the stop and celiac friendly! As soon as I told my server I had celiac she offered to come out with gluten free bread while my family got the calamari appetizer, which unfortunately is not gluten free. The bread, however, was delicious. I also got a virgin strawberry daiquiri, and the server went over all of the ingredients with me to make sure everything was fine. My meal (pad thai) was delicious. GF items are clearly marked on the main menu, and when they brought my food out they made sure to announce that it was GF. There's a reason this place was voted best theme park restaurant.
Menu items clearly designated. Server verified with Chef and provided items that were gluten free and without other items I'm allergic too. Had Greek salad with chicken and side of fries from dedicated fryer.
Very knowledgable staff. You can tell they know what they are doing and have confidence needed to feel good about having them feed my kids. Food order was made easy and preparation was flawless. Javier you are the best!
The GF options were clearly labeled and I even got GF rolls with out expecting them, loved the Veggie GF pad Thai. My family loved the bread and their yummy meals.
Had warm gf bread basket. Yummy. Burger and fries from dedicated fryer. Lots of choices on the menu!!!
Great place to escape the busy park. Very comfortable and cool environment. The waitstaff was very knowledgable. A lot of good GF options, more for adults than young kids, but this place is worth the stop if you are in Universal. Very cool.
They take walk-ins, but it is better to call ahead and reserve a time. The proportions are good and everyone from the hostess to the waitress was very helpful in pointing out what we could eat. Will definitely come back again.
Manager was very helpful when we called ahead to confirm that the restaurant was celiac friendly. However, after making a reservation and arriving tired and hungry, our waitress was completely clueless. We explained that we spoke with the manager and were clear about exactly what we needed, however even after all of that and a 45 min wait, my celiac son's order came out wrong. Then another manager came out to apologize and quickly brought out a corrected order. They do have a large delicious GF menu as well as GF buns for the burgers, but I think we must have hit it on a bad day as my son wound up running to the bathroom and isn't usually sensitive. I'd advise making sure the manager comes to your table on arrival to confirm your order. Unfortunately, phoning ahead wasn't enough for us.
The waiter was extremely careful about our allergy concerns. He didn't even put lemon in my drink because he was afraid of cross contamination. They heated up gf rolls for bread. The head chef came out and talked to us about he allergy and assured us that everything was prepared separately and that he would be making he meal himself. It was delicious and probably was the best meal I had all trip.
JC, the manager was fantastic! He came to our table and helped my 13 year old Celiac,Type I Diabetic son with his menu choices and even helped determine carb counts. The gf risotto was fantastic!
I'm celiac and i was excited to see that Mythos has gf menu, because I've been to that restaurant before i got diagnosed, and had a great food & experience! However, i got glutened!!! I called the restaurant the next day and Sous Chef said that risotto that i ate is gluten free for sure and that I probably had some type of cross contamination! Anyways, i was sick the whole next day! :(
Great , safe food. Blackened fish tacos were tasty, and no problem getting them gluten -free. The rolls and butter were fab!
Our experience at Mythos was mediocre. The waiter was very pleasant but rushed and my pad Thai was basically sweet and sour noodles. My gf dairy free options were limited. Tables were crammed together and I felt like I was sitting on top of other dining families. They have a huge pizza hearth but no pizza listed on the menu or offered to my non allergic family. Burgers were gross according to my kids and they wanted the pizza that no one offered them but they saw heading to other tables. Took forever for the check and a take out bag. I wouldn't go back.
I'm not the type to leave reviews, but anyway, my daughter is coeliac and we visited this place in Orlando, FL in Dec '14. After going through the regular gluten spiel to the server and chef, they explained their kitchen situation and left us to order. On his return, the chef explained that he was not completely confident that the meal had been prepared properly by his staff and rather than risk serving contaminated food, said he would prepare a new dish himself. Obviously, this took a little longer, but quite frankly he deserves the utmost praise for taking this decision and not risking my daughter's health. How many other restaurants would just have served a possibly contaminated meal? Anyway, a massive thank you to Aaron and Tamara for a terrific, professional and caring attitude. You both rock!
The food was great (I'd highly recommend the gf pad thai) and the staff was awesome. the menu clearly notes items that can be made gluten free. I was brought my own basket of gluten free bread (with separate butter plate). I will definitely go back next time I am at universal!
Excellent, server even asked if I wanted separate butter for my GF bread since others I was eating with had buttered their regular bread with butter on the table. I didn't even have to ask! Food was great too with no reaction.
Amazing GF option clearly indicated on the menu. Tried the pad thai it was really good. Also asked for GF bread with my soup and it was just like my Mom made it !
GF options marked clearly on the menu and there are quite a few good choices, have eaten there several times with no issues. Great to have such a nice option right in Islands park. Highly recommend the pad thai!
Ellen our server was great- she even brought out a gluten free roll in separate basket and offered to get a different butter plate. They lost a star when the hubby's side salad came out with croutons and with it being so busy, it was hard to tell if they were gluten free crotons or not.
safe, delicious and server in the know. Celiacs are good to go!
The pad Thai was delicious and menu clearly states what is, or could be made, gf. They even have a chocolate dessert! Good selection, would definitely recommend!
Exceptional food, very knowledgable staff, and a very decent selection of menu items to choose from. Appetizers and desserts are even included on the list of menu items we can eat! The atmosphere is incredible also.
