As far as hospitality goes, this place would have 5 stars. But as far as gluten intolerance goes, I def would not. I wanted a flavored coffee, but the girl who took our order said that she couldn’t guarantee it would be safe, so I just got coffee with creamer. It was just Community Coffee and I was not a fan. But living in Dallas has spoiled me on good coffee! My husband got the breakfast buffet and when I went to grab a piece of his bacon, he said no! Bc it was in the same tray as the bread. I ordered the gf pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancakes were undercooked and not very tasty. Def would not recommend this place for gf people. My husband on the other hand, loved the buffet food and said the grits were the best he ever had.

I ordered the eggs Benedict on gluten-free bread, it was wonderful! Server was very knowledgeable about their gluten-free options. Great breakfast!

Staff was knowledgeable about cross contamination but did say they have a shared griddle that they wipe down after each use; have gf toast, pancakes and pastries- friendly staff
"We have gluten free bread and pancakes ya'll!" I would have liked to have given a better review but when they can't get a simple Espresso Americano coffee right then how can we trust they understand how to do gluten free properly. No dedicated toaster and no dedicated griddle for the pancakes. And the last thing we need to hear is the staff telling the other staff what they "need to do." Ugh. Welcome to Mel's diner. Hey Flo!!
