Went here for a breakfast snack. It’s really nice to be able to walk in and pick anything without having to worry. 100% gluten, dairy, egg, nut, soy, and corn free. We got the apple pie, salted chocolate chip cookie, and raspberry lemon scone. Apple was very good, definitely appley, the scone was crumbly and definitely tasted how you’d except a scone, and the chocolate chip was very gooey and yummy! (A little too salty in the aftertaste for me, but then again it’s in the name). The one thing that was a little crumby (😉) imo was that bread is not sold in slices, only loaves.
As someone who is conscious of ingredients in gluten-free baked goods, I was thrilled to have found native bread! Their products don't contain any seed oils or weird ingredients that you can't pronounce. You can also be guaranteed that their facility is dedicated gluten free.
Currently, you can buy their items at their storefront 3 days a week and at other locations throughout the Indy area. It would be great to see more available store hours, and I hope that someday they will have more of a sitting area for many to enjoy their wonderful baked goods!
This is the only local bakery I know that is GF dedicated. The breads are delicious. Before finding this place I thought I'd never get to have a tasty genuine bread again. We need to support this business because it's not often you can find a place that is so safe for celiac that you eat the products with zero concerns about symptoms!!
Thank you for your support and kind review!
We are so lucky to have this place in town. When I first had their bread years ago I cried. Never thought I’d have boules of European style bread again. I adore the olive loaf but it is all so incredibly good. I mean…baguettes!! Another thing I thought I’d not find again.
I love all of Native Breads products! Everything is gluten free and vegan. My favorite loaf is the rosemary garlic sourdough. It toasts well and makes amazing sandwich melts. I usually buy it at Wildwood Market in Fountain Square. Their chocolate chip cookies and galletes (seasonal) are amazing too!
