I went in and told the lady I had a gluten allergy and asked what she recommended. She said probably only the burrito bowl, but if I have a big allergy then nothing since there is cross contamination. She said the chips were not safe for me. So I left. Not sure why there are mixed messages on the app. Maybe it’s fine for some people.
Found this place at random, and it’s definitely a cute local bop if you’re trying to skip the chains. Service was speedy and nice and I was assured chips were in a separate fryer and guac didn’t come with that little sprinkle of cheese so easy appetizer options abound. I got the carne asada street taco (no allergens here as it’s just steak, onion and cilantro on a corn tortilla) but do tell the server you’re celiac so they cook the steak separately and change gloves and use fresh cilantro and onion for ya. The street taco I thought was sub par as it was dry and the steak flavor was less traditional Mexican and more “this belongs with rice and perhaps a nice salsa verde sauce” but I had no reaction so can’t complain!
Nectar is not celiac safe. They are very nice, the food is delicious and the wait staff are knowledgeable and reassuring but the last two times I have eaten here I have gotten sick. Both times I communicated I had celiac disease and deliberately asked what was safe.Wait staff understood and made suggestions for gluten free items. Huge bummer, please be aware.
Amazing place! Very knowledgeable. Server was gf as well. Pretty much everything is or can be made gf. The spicy birria taco wasn’t unfortunately bc they make it with beer. Got fried Brussels taco and fish taco. Both amazing. It was so great to be able to eat tortilla chips and dip like a normal person!
So many gluten free options! This is my go to place! They have a dedicated fryer for chips! Only a few things on the menu that I can’t have! These things are obvious like nothing fried or the burrito. Every time we’ve ordered takeout that food has been clearly marked gluten free! They have an allergy button on the online ordering.
Food was amazing. I loved the chicken taco I had. There are potentials for trace/CC. Chips were not safe, due to shared fryer, from my understanding. I think the waitress had an outside understanding if celiac but she was super careful to check and double check things with me. I did not get sick here and would definitely frequent it if I lived locally.
Absolutely delicious! The parking lot was packed when we got there and they had outdoor seating. We sat inside and the server was knowledgeable and friendly. My 10 year old and I ended up having steak street tacos as some things were out of stock. My fiance had a steak burrito bowl and kept saying every few minutes he was finding a new flavor. It was delicious! The decor was incredibly neat and gave me some inspiration for my own home. We never got sick and that was the biggest plus.
Good food, good service, They do not have a gluten free menu but they are very knowledgeable and can make most of it gluten free.
This place does everything they can to ensure that your food is celiac safe. The manager, David, was amazing! He took the time to talk to us before we ordered. Then he took our drink and food order, retuned and told us that everyone had been told to change gloves, etc. The food was great! But what I appreciate the most, he took me seriously and did all he could to ensure my food was prepared in the best way possible to keep me safe! Will definitely go back when we are back in the area!!
This place is a GF gem! Menu not marked but staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They take extra caution to ensure items are prepared GF.
Excellent nachos and tacos. Save for celiac in the dedicated fryer. Delish!
They know how to do gluten free right. Dedicated fryer for delicious chips, salsa just a little spicy, guacamole was so good! We filled up on chips and shared two tacos, carne asada and pulled pork. So good. Lots of choices. Server knew about gluten and told me which dishes were off limits or how they could make them gluten free. Great place. Wished I lived in the area to go back for more.
This place was a great find! Most of their menu is gluten free, so you have plenty of options. The staff is kind and willing to check on items they are unsure of. Not a dedicated restaurant, but they do have a dedicated fryer. Food is yummy and flavorful. Will definitely be back!
The waitress was so nice! Went back to the kitchen to check on the tortilla chips because she was unsure. They’re fried in their own fryer, and they’re made of corn tortilla so they’re safe! The marinades for the meat has no gluten and they have corn tacos. They do have a few items on the menu that are flour tortilla based, but you don’t miss them because the tacos are SO GOOD.
