The manager (I think?) came out with my meal and said “we take allergies very seriously.” There was a wooden stake that said “gluten free” in my bread, which I always really appreciate!! I got the heap with sausage and a side of black beans. They have a GF toaster for the toast. I didn’t get sick and I had enough leftovers for lunch and dinner that day!!!
I prefer this location over the busier midtown OKC one. I think because it’s less busy, you get a safer experience. I went for Saturday brunch, so definitely a peak time!
Price is good too—less than I expected. I think my meal was around $20-$25!
The food was delicious! I have a gluten sensitivity (not celiac) and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the gluten free menu and helpful! The pancakes were delicious and actually fluffy for a GF pancake! I had the Third wheel so I could sample different flavors. The N location was very nice and had great service but louder than the downtown location. I’m Leary to rate Gf safety as I was on a trip and ate at more than one restaurant over a couple of days but waitress knew about cross contamination, mentioned risk if I chose potatoes vs hashbrowns d/t the fryer, etc.
Loved all the GF options - went with the GF pigs in a pancake and not only did a different server/staff person come out to confirm it was the GF dish when bringing it to the table, it had a little toothpick marker in it. Really good pancakes and sausage. Cute atmosphere - would definitely come back.
Though the wait was long at 930 on a Saturday morning, it was worth it. The staff was friendly, the gluten free menu large, and the food outstanding. We tried the cinnamon roll pancakes (like eating dessert), the Basics with flavorful spicy maple sausage, and the French toast with bacon. With one highly sensitive Celiac and one with gluten intolerance, no one had any adverse effects. We did inform our server that we had a "gluten allergy" (often the easiest thing to note instead of Celiac) and she marked our ticket as such. Overall, great experience!
They have really good GF pancakes. They always ask if it’s an allergy so they can be extra cautious. I always get eggs and gf pancakes, never been sick. There’s usually a bit of a wait, especially on weekends.
Fantastic!!! Ordered the lemon poppyseed pancakes and they were delicious!! Large gf menu with lemon pancakes, cinnamon/caramel pancakes, French toast with mascarpone and berries, etc. So many things to choose from! Make sure to get on waitlist as they are busy but are fast with turnaround.
I loved Neighborhood Jam before my celiac diagnosis so finding out they had a great GF menu made me so happy! So many good options to eat. I had the basic breakfast with sausage, eggs, breakfast potatoes and a GF toast. Also had an iced vanilla latte with oat milk (I asked if the oat milk was gluten free).
Staff assured me the toast was cooked in a dedicated toaster. I didn’t get sick afterwards so will def come again.
I recommend trying to go during non-peak hours as the waitresses were all pretty busy and it was loud do hard for us all to hear as I was asking about cross-contact procedures.
We ate at this location twice and the one in Edmond once while we’re on vacation. Both were excellent. Great customer service. Our waitress went and grabbed a bag of their gf flour when I asked about ingredients in it… It’s Bob’s Red Mill pancake mix. None of us (4 people are very gluten intolerant) got sick and we tried a variety of things. Only hiccup was we couldn’t remove dairy from certain things easily.
I ordered The Heap and bacon to share, along with The Third Wheel pancakes off of the gluten free menu and I had a reaction by the time I got home. With all the various ingredients (especially in The Heap), something was bound to get cross contaminated.
I had read all of the reviews on here and was so very looking forward to trusting a rare meal out so I was really disappointed. I even mentioned that the waitress seemed a little too casual about it when I shared my “allergy” with her. I chalked it up to her just being confident in their process.
The reason I still gave it 3 stars is because it was the best breakfast I can remember having (gf or not), the gf menu was expansive, the staff and vibe were great, and I do believe it was a matter of cross contamination.
I will probably give it one more try and will likely stick to something with fewer ingredients (like just the regular pancakes and maybe eggs) and will have a longer conversation about gf, being sure to mention this experience. I normally don’t give places a second chance but this one seems worth it.
If you aren’t sensitive to cc, order The Heap.
I was totally blown away by this restaurant. The wait is intense so sign up for the list via the app ahead of time but this was some of the best food I’ve had in a while. The staff was very knowledgeable about Celiac and they have a dedicated gf fryer and toaster. The cascarones (fried rice and coconut balls) were divine and I haven’t been able to eat anything like those since I was diagnosed over a decade ago. Their hash and pancakes (the looney was our favorite!) was also great and all the staff made sure the correct items were deliver.
Awesome menu. Wait staff was unsure about some ingredients but were willing to find out for us. Great food!!
Jam is delicious and has a large gluten free menu. I also have other allergies (dairy and almonds) and the staff went above and beyond to find out exactly what would work for me.
Waiter was very knowledgeable and when he didn’t know he didn’t hesitate to go ask the chef. I had the breakfast tacos with the green chile hollandaise. I ordered a side of blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberry compote and syrup. Both dishes were AMAZING. AH-MAZ-ING!! Oh and I had a flight of mimosas... yum
Make sure your server knows you have an allergy and they’ll take care of you! I got sick the first time I went after ordering an omelette. not sure if they used batter in their omelettes? The second time I went I ordered the pancakes and they were fantastic and I did not get sick!
New place in Edmond offering breakfast and lunch including gluten free options. No dedicated fryer but there is gluten free bread (for an up charge). I had the power bowl - super tasty. And a fun atmosphere too!
