Pork tasted fine but was very salty. Fortunately, no gluten reaction. My partner’s Seafood Gumbo had only one piece of seafood and tasted off.

The menu: everything with an asterisk can be made gf. They’re incredibly knowledgeable and willing to check with the kitchen with questions. Very patient and understanding.
The food: GF fried green tomatoes that were to die for. Truly. I haven’t had them in so long, and they trump the others I have had from back home. Gf cauliflower flat bread was also delicious. I had the gf pasta, which took a little longer because they make it fresh. The spice of the sausage plus the sauce was a fantastic balance.
I loved all of it and we will be going back.

Heard good things about @neutralgroundslc so we decided to try it out. They don’t have a printed or digital gluten free menu but I reached out before had and they said most of the menu could be gluten free. Our server came out and explained all that could be gluten free and we talked through their safety preparations. They have color coded pans not only for gluten free, but also vegan, and other allergens like garlic. Their fried green tomatoes have their own dedicated fryer. They boil the gluten free pasta in its own water, it did take a bit longer but I’ll wait any day for safe food. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable! It is definitely worth a try! My southern hubby was very happy with his gluten-full crawfish mac and my gluten free southern carbonara with shrimp instead of chicken! We will be back! #glutenfree #dinelocal #southernfood #eatglutenfree — eating dinner at Neutral Ground.
