As far as I could find out, only the tamales are Celiac-safe. I was told the corn tortillas are deep-fried together with the flour tortillas, so that really limits options. So I chose 2 different kinds of chicken tamales with a side of refried beans, and everything was delicious!
Safe for Celiacs and so delicious! Almost the entire menu is GF. Plenty of DF and vegan options available too. Super friendly and kind owner and staff. Very clean...so clean they don't want you to bus your dishes so they can properly clean and disinfect the tables. Lightening quick service. Brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
Not only are these some of the best tamales I’ve ever had (and I’ve lived in Central America), they are ALL gluten free. You can go wild at this place. I never get sick. Never. NEVER!!!
The owner is incredibly nice and everyone working there is kind and helpful.
I love so many different tamales. They have lots of vegan and dairy-free options if that’s your thing - squash and mushroom and spinach and more - but they also have traditional chicken and pork. Their sauces and salsas are really good - SPICY, but good. They also have a hatch chili queso that’s delicious, even though it’s too spicy for me. I just go around the chilis and get it anyway.
I love their avocado cilantro crema. And I cannot say enough about the high quality and insanely good flavors that happen here. When I go down to see my sister in Portland, I take BRICKS of frozen tamales for her.
This is going to be your new favorite place.
Very safe establishment for gluten free/Celiacs. They are all well-educated about gluten as well.
So delicious!! Almost the whole menu is gluten free and they seem to be very knowledgable and safe! Cannot wait to go back.
Majority of menu items are gluten free and the manager and staff are very knowledgeable. The real win though is that the food is amazing!
Simply outstanding. Nearly everything is gluten free and what isn’t is setup to eliminate cross contamination. Delicious food and wonderful people. You should eat here.
They make a variety of tamales: pork, chicken, vegetarian and vegan tamales. All gluten free. For a small inexpensive lunch you can get a tamale with rice and beans for $6. They’ll give you a small side of chips and salsa too.
