Tried to get a quick lunch here based off mostly good reviews. Waiter did not know there was a gluten free menu and wasn’t confident in other recommendations. Manager was able to find a menu but it wasn’t updated with current offerings. I did order something off the menu, but was brought the regular/not gluten free version of it and sent it back and chose not to eat. Very frustrating all around.
Great food and experience! I had red beans & rice and shrimp remoulade appetizers. For entrees, I shared the shrimp & grits and blackened redfish. For dessert, I had an amazing peanut butter torte. I actually had to ask them if it was really GF, because it was that good and seemed like a real brownie. They had a separate GF menu, and it was menu items that were already GF so I wasn’t worried they would forget to make it GF for me. Can’t wait to go back!

They do have a GF menu with a decent variety of options. They don’t have GF crab cakes though, which I thought they had based on reviews. I got the Shrimp and Grits and the taste was off. Our server didn’t seem to care about my strong GF request. The food isn’t agreeing with me, but I’m not sure it is a gluten reaction (feels different than how I typically feel after getting glutened). I would not eat here again.

The crab cakes were amazing and the service was fantastic! Definitely would recommend stopping in here on a NOLA visit.
We didn’t stay, so I can’t say if the quality of food is good or not. There was two gluten free items on the menu which was super disappointing.
The waiter didnt know what celiacs was, but the chef was very careful and double checked all the ingredients when we asked about items off the gluten free menu. Got the rice and beans, crab maison appetizer. Felt fine afer.
Waiter, Alex was amazing. We had the red beans and rice, alligator bites, and peanut butter torte. All was fantastic!
I asked and was given gluten free menu at entrance and although waitress wasn’t au fait with GF she double checked with Chef for me. Had blackened Redfish and great peanut butter and chocolate Torte
Yes
Place was completely unfriendly, at least my waitress was. I asked someone when we first walked in about the gluten free menu listed and he literally just walked away. Then our waitress comes up and I ask her about it and she storms away and then shoved it in my hands and doesn’t explain anything. Literally was the same menu as the normal one and I asked for clarification and all I got was attitude. Just had to go off instinct, but honestly it was terrible. P.S. my friend who isn’t gluten free got the crawfish étouffée and it was ice cold.

The blackened redfish was said to be their specialty. It was alright but the atmosphere was lovely and the service was good.
excellent food. service was terrible. I had the blackened redfish I had no problem with cross contamination or anything. my husband the taste of New Orleans . his words...mind blowing good. Was seated and no one approached the table for 15 min. However, after our order served quickly. Server never came back to the table until the bill.
Yes
I had the lightly blackened redfish with potatoes & green beans. No problem!
They food is delicious and they are careful to avoid gluten contamination, I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because even though I told them I'm Celiac and I get really sick if I eat gluten they put bread on the side of my char-grilled oysters so make sure to clarify.
Good boiled shrimp, corn on cob, boiled potatoes. Friendly staff.
