Absolutely phenomenal! Will definitely be back to try more items, our waiter was celiac and was super helpful in ensuring everything was safe, a couple menu items need to be modified to be gluten free. Everything was so yummy and had such interesting flavors and the service was wonderful. The only downside is was absolutely packed and had a very very loud atmosphere but the interior was really nice! Very romantic casual vibe.
We had a wonderful meal at Nightingale. We shared quite a few items. The shrimp toast was fabulous- I would go back just for that. It is always made with gluten free bread and fried in a dedicated fryer. We thought the wings were ok. The scallops were oddly wonderful. I had the lettuce wrapped burger and fries which was good but next time I may get something else and share some fries as an appetizer.
Food was delicious! The octopus was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. I also had the chicken wings and olives. I wouldn’t say the service was great, just okay. I didn’t feel super reassured when I mentioned I have celiac or asked questions about the fryer but they did say it was safe, just didn’t really elaborate or anything. I didn’t get sick but if there wasn’t positive reviews to go off of that built my faith a little more, I might not have eaten there. They also mixed up my card with another table and I got charged for 2 checks that were not mine, although when I pointed it out they fixed it! They also did bring a little chocolate creme to the table for my birthday which was super nice so might have just been an off night! Very nice ambiance. Ultimately I would go back!
We sat at the bar, the bar tender was very helpful and cautious. He confirmed their frier is 100% gluten free. They have a well labeled menu and many GF options, even buns and bread. We had scallops, steak with triple fried potatoes and salad all of which was wonderful. Several GF dessert options as well that I was too full to try. Full bar. Wonderful experience. This was a favorite spot of mine before I was diagnosed and so happy I’ll still be able to enjoy it!
I had a great meal at Nightingale and the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I called ahead, then spoke with the hostess when I arrived. She said that all the servers knew about celiac and mine was helpful when it came to ordering. I had a delicious pan roasted hangar steak and fabulous triple cooked potatoes —so good!
I had a good experience with Nightingale. The server was familiar with celiac and cross contact precautions. The fryer is gf. I noticed that there were a number of dishes that say they come with grilled bread, so I asked if any part of the grill was reserved for no gluten items, and the answer was no. The server would not have pointed this out on her own, so a good reminder to always ask if you’re suspicious even at a place that trains staff on gluten cross contact! So I would say celiacs should steer clear of grilled items, which (on the summer menu at least) cuts down on the number of options that are safe. That said the fries are amazing! They’re normally served with a malt vinegar aoli, but they had a gf herb aoli when I was there which was delicious. They also have a number of great spirit free cocktails.
