The experience was nice, and the restaurant had great GF protocol. The GF noodles were excellent, and I felt safe eating here! Options were quite limited (two GF ramens), and I thought it was quite plain for the cost.

Lovely authentic ramen place. Very knowledgeable about GF, with excellent protocol in place. A lot less choice this time I went though, only one GF option on the menu (last time I went there were 3.)

The service was fast and friendly and the quality of the ingredients was top-notch. The young person behind the counter told us that they automatically prepare every gluten-free dish as if a person with Celiac Disease has ordered it. I ordered the Gluten Free Tori Ramen and it was absolutely delicious. (Shio ramen with wheat-free noodles topped with sliced chicken, pea shoots, dried tomato, and green onions.) Highly recommend!

FYI we did not ending dining here, but saw they had great protocol & options for us so I wanted to leave an up to date review.
“Very gluten-free savvy. Several ramen dishes GF. In-house-prepared GF broth. GF noodles sourced directly from Japan. Great care in ensuring no cross contact.”
If we get the chance to dine in Courtenay again, we will definitely be going here!
