I've been to this restaurant twice in the last week and had steak tacos and chicken tacos, both with soft corn tortillas. Neither of the staff who took my order had heard of celiac. The first was great, checked on their margaritas, and was very happy to pass my instructions on to the kitchen. The second wasn't as friendly, but in both cases, I had no symptoms at all! Their sweet and sour mix for their house margaritas has gluten, and the chips are not fried in a dedicated frier. But there's good options to choose from. There are a LOT of Mexican restaurants in Alamosa. I've only tried a few, but this one by far has the best food. Steak was tender, food tasted great, and the beans didn't taste like they were out of a can.
Update: I have stopped going to this restaurant because the food has gone downhill and I talked with a waitress who was newly diagnosed with celiac. She informed me that none of the meat is prepared safely for celiacs. I took her recommendation for the safest option, and while I didn't feel like I was exposed to gluten, I do not feel safe eating at this restaurant.
