A fantastic, very tasty family meal for 4. We had two starters that we all shared and then 4 different main courses, all of which were delicious and so full of flavour. My wife and son are veggie and I am gluten free (although an intolerance and not coeliac). There are quite a few dishes with possible traces of gluten but only due to possible contamination from small kitchen. If you only have an intolerance, you should be fine. Good prices and nice service too. Highly recommended

I was happy to find a restaurant which is not only gluten free but also vegan! The staff was very nice and knowledgeable about gluten free. For starter I had the soup of the day, which was a red cabbage soup. Really enjoyed it. They served it with a nuts & seeds cracker. For the main dish I had the local dish Ćevapčići which was served with sweet potato salad. Was delicious! Really filled me up.

FYI I don't have GI symptoms, so I can't know if there was cross contamination, but there isn't a lot of information out there for Croatia so I wanted to post my experience. The waiter spoke English, and he also thoroughly read my card that explained celiac disease in Croatian. He even took the card to the kitchen to show the other staff. He warned me that they don't have a separate kitchen space, so there is a risk of cross contamination. My dish came out marked as gluten free. Overall they were very attentive.

Get a reservation - this restaurant is tiny! But the atmosphere was great, as was the food. My sister is a vegetarian, so it was definitely the best restaurant in town for the two of us.

The Wait staff were very helpful and knowledgable. They did say that Spelt in Croatia is safe and GF but not in USA so we avoided that dish. Fresh juices and delicious entrees. We will go there again!

they were very nice and aware of gluten but had slim to no GF options and the waitress suggested to avoid eating here if you have a gluten allergy bc there may be cross contamination

Delicious banana curry! Rick Steved said this was the only place in Old Town worth the visit.
