Nom Wah

This place is very popular and bustling so we were smart for making a reservation. They do have gluten free items marked on the menu, but when I ordered the Ho fun vegetables with rice noodles, I had to make clear that I wanted it gluten free, which was not easy to do with the language barrier. When he delivered it he said that it is not gluten free, I refused it and said I need gf. Then they brought it back with no flavors added, but I added the gluten free soy sauce and chili paste to make it taste good. Most of their gf dishes lack flavor variety and taste all the same, and the fried items were too greasy. But I did enjoy the gf dessert, which were deep fried sesame balls with bean paste. However the rest of my group did enjoy the steam buns and similar dim sum. The staff were very stretched thin and stressed on Sat. night, but they do serve quickly.
