Be transported to the lush jungles of the Yucatán with subtle scents of copal and open-fire grills. We are a gluten-free restaurant and offer a vegan / vegetarian menus.
We source seafood from the bounty of the Mexican gulf coast, farms of Quintana Roo. Our flavors are Yucatecan with global influences of Lebanese, Portuguese, and African flavors of the region.
The cantina cocktail bar specializes in Agave offering unique and small batch mezcals and tequilas.
Im obsessed with this place. Servers are very competent and the entire menu is gluten free. If you get the chance to have the churros you won’t regret it.
Its great to find a fully gluten free kitchen, but this was done so poorly. Lots of cut corners in a try-hard upscale restaurant. I can look past the faux bougie aesthetic. The servers were so amazing, kind. The mixed drinks were decent.. The food was disappointing and kinda gross. We had the shrimp appetizer. The sauce was the texture of toothpaste, they were way overcooked and nearly mushy. The seasoning were so overwhelming I couldn't taste shrimp anymore. I had the chicken (they have 4-5 main courses) and it was dry and mushy. Everything was so greasy and didn't come across as fresh and bright-what I would have expected from a high end place with the prices. The dish had a few slices of a veggie and a browned banana taco that was also very mushy and very gross. My partner got the pork chop that was overwhelmingly bacon flavored. We had the tres leches for dessert and it was ok. They had me laughing when they said it was topped with seasonal fruit in November and it was strawberries and blackberries (they're on sale at HEB lol). At least the dessert was good. I won't go back just because it was as if someone wanted to open an expensive restaurant but had no good recipes in mind. Every dish was overcooked, greasy, and so over seasoned you couldn't taste the actual food. That's not what I wanted.
The food and overall experience was phenomenal. I normally don’t like octopus but it was so delicious as were the guacamole, pork, pollo asado and drinks. They were super accommodating to special diets and have such a lovely ambience and waitstaff. I wish we went here our first night in town and not the last or we would have returned for the waffles.
Phenomenal food, amazing atmosphere, just an incredible experience. Very expensive but worth it. DEDICATED gluten free, very little dairy on the menu, so they were easily able to accommodate no dairy, no soy as well. They have lots of fresh seafood, crude options, but also flatbreads and masa waffles. Everything is GF, but it doesn’t feel like a restriction at all. Everything is so flavorful and unique, thoughtful, and none of it gets anywhere near feeling like a GF knock-off of something better.
This place opened Oct 2023. It was the first and last place we ate in Austin. (So good we ate there twice)
We had the PANUCHO, DUCK PANUCHO, POLLO ASADO, PORK ENTOMATADA. For dessert we had the mango passion and the churros.
The staff were all very friendly and the food was a burst of incredible in the mouth. Gluten free churros were top three that my Latinx hubby has ever had.
We also had mocktails and they were awesome: aqua de Jamaica and the horchata.
Beautiful restaurant that made me believe I was in Tulum! My friend brought me a cupcake from a bakery that wasn’t fully GF and they said it was not allowed to be opened in the restaurant- they take GF seriously! I had a variety of dishes and highlights were the coconut flatbread, crudo, branzino and the CHURROS. Wow!
Everything on the menu is gluten free and they have vegetarian options as well. The food is upscale Mexican with a lot of African and South American influence as well.
The flatbread is incredibly delicious, could not tell it was gluten free. The churros are AMAZING.
