Staff said everything is cross contaminated but they would try their best. Felt a little weird afterwards. Good sandwich though.
Came back a second time and the staff turned me away and said they can't make a sandwich without cross contaminating.
So good! They offer a GF bun, and when I asked about preparing my sandwich safely, the chef did a great job. He grilled the bread using foil, so it didn’t touch the Panini press and laid out everything separately to avoid cross contamination the best he could. Got the turkey sandwich and the broccoli salad.
Nona’s is the only place with a gluten free option in the food court “Promenade” here at the Fountanbleu. They have Udi’s hamburger buns. I had a rotisserie turkey sandwich with guac and bacon and while it wasn’t the best sandwich I’ve ever had, I was grateful for a decent meal after traveling all day. They actually give you two sandwiches (2 buns).
The taco place across from Nona’s told me they had plenty of GF options, but when I asked to see the allergy menu the server told me anything marked “wheat” or “soy” is gluten free. Not worth the risk for a celiac. They were not properly informed regarding marinades or other sneaky gluten containing ingredients.
The Fountainbleu in-room dining service offers several gluten free items marked on the menu. I was told they have a separate area in the kitchen to prep as well. You will pay $$$$ for this option though!
This gorgeous hotel is new. Hopefully they will offer more GF options and educate their staff in the near future.
Nona is in the Promenade food hall at the Fontainebleau. They have sandwiches and salads, with GF buns available for sandwiches. I had the veggie sandwich which was very filling. Not sure which other sandwiches have gf fillings. This seemed to be the only place here with gf options. Hoping more gf options become available or just found out about here at FB.
