Staff were helpful to choose gf options
The owner’s son is celiac so they go above and beyond to make sure meals are safe for celiacs and not cross contaminated. Delicious food!
Don't go here if your very sensitive like me. Reaction afterwards.
I actually had a reaction to the food immediately after eating it. I'm very sensitive though, it was not a big reaction but one nonetheless. So I guess probably not recommended if you're really sensitive.
Contaminated often! But those without celiac would likely be fine.
I went to every Noodlebox in Victoria, BC (where it was started) and when I moved to Surrey, they had just opened one there and we were so happy because we missed it. Then we moved to Chilliwack and one opened in Abbotsford and Chilliwack. Couldn’t be happier. Noodlebox is completely customizable when it comes to your order. They’ve got a menu of obviously premade options, but you pick the protein (optional) and spice level to go with the type you picked, but you can pick what type of noodles, or gluten free rice ones, or rice, or “no carb box” with just veggies and meat, etc. If you are a Celiac like me. Most of the flavours are gluten free, except teriyaki. As well, it is lactose free or you can have it dairy free. Just ask which ones those are – but I think they make them with coconut milk anyways. We are both lactose intolerant as well. We also have them take out onions and garlic because those cause us issues too. They can also make it vegetarian, or completely vegan if that’s your thing. They have dedicated spaces and tools and the portions, whether for sit in or takeout (you can call in an order) are absolutely huge with the average box being $10-$14ish. We like the spicy peanut box, gluten free with no onion or garlic, and for 2 boxes, tax, and a 20% tip because we love them, our total comes to $33 for 2 boxes. We need takeout with 3 kids to have a pseudo date in the car.. haha.. and that’s pretty hard to do gluten free, lactose free etc.. BTW, there’s a cheaper kids menu too, drinks, and desserts as well. So happy they came to town right after we did. :)
Very knowledgable about celiac. Several options that can be made gluten free or vegan.
Tasty but their GF versions of dishes are sometimes a bit mushy. The chinese fried rice dish is great. This is not a dedicated gluten free restaurant and I have experienced cross-contamination on 2 of my 8 visits (may not be for specific location but for chain in general)
Great. Very helpful, understanding and very tasty. Website claims to use responsible and healthy ingredients too. Full of flavour. Warning - medium-hot is still pretty hot, and I like hot stuff!
Well marked menu, staff is informed, food is delicious. A solid go-to for good GF food!
We are visiting from out of town and I’m so happy I found this place. The staff was knowledgable and made sure to clean all cooking utensils. Very yummy!
The spicy peanut bowl was so good! Subbed rice noodles to be GF. They use a clean wok for each order and the noodles are pre-cooked and in their own water. They seem to be pretty aware.
Gluten free options. Noodles for eat in or ake out. Kids boxes.
Person at the counter was knowledgeable and I felt comfortable eating here. Food was great. I chose rice instead of noodles to avoid any potential mix up. Everyone else I was with enjoyed their lunch as well. No issues in the CC department.
I regularly eat here and they do a great job of managing allergies (and celiac) versus preferences.
Go here all the time. Never been sick. I am celiac. Very helpful staff. They change tongs and clean woks after every order. Make sure you tell them you have a gluten allergy.
