Very tasty. Our waiter was knowledgeable about celiac and let me know which dishes were best. Be warned, the yellow grain logo means something HAS gluten, not that it is gluten free. The glass noodles were very very tasty - first time I’ve had glass noodles ever hold flavour or sauce. Definitely would recommend!
Delicious food, but i've gotten sick after both times i've been. I've gotten the make your own wok with glass noodles and gf sesame soy.
They don’t have a wide variety of GF options, but I have to say they had one of the best noodle dishes I have had in a very long time! I ordered the Royal Japchae with the flank steak as recommended and it was simply delicious! Just be careful when ordering because they list the items containing Gluten, not what is GF, so the G stands for “contains gluten”, which can be confusing upon first glance.
Echoing everyone else’s reviews - menu labelled on what has gluten so it’s easy to navigate. The fried chicken is GF but the person there let me know there was cross contamination in the fryer, which wasn’t noted on the menu and I was grateful that he knew to mention. I got a noodle dish and it was great.
Update: Returned July 2021. The restaurant has changed but it still celiac friendly. When the waiter heard “gluten allergy” he understood the need to be cautious, informed me that they maintain a separate gluten-free wok, and suggested a shaved coconut ice dessert that was amazing and so refreshing on a hot summer evening. Looking forward to going back soon.
We haven’t been here since prepandemic, but we’re remembering how much we loved it for a quick and tasty bite when downtown. All the sauces are gluten-free, which helps with safety and avoiding cross-contamination. Their Japchae noodles are such a satisfying gluten-free dish.
Excellent! All items available gluten free. My daughter with celiac had no issues. Food was delicious!!!
Great spot for a fast bowl of wok prepared Asian yum. All the sauces are GF so marinades are safe. Don’t even need to request separate sauce. GF noodle and rice options are listed on menu - kimchi bap rice bowl, Chow Fun, Japchae, Salads can be made GF. A lot to choose from. Not a dedicated kitchen and they do have some non GF noodles on menu but they are GF conscious for sure which is not typical in Chinatown.
