Nordstrom Cafe

Bummer. Only have GF pasta, and it takes 30 minutes. Didn't tell us that when we ordered it. Sloooow and not many options for my 10 year old with cd. They ended up buying the kids pasta, it came out really cold. :(.

Excellent food, but should be listed as $$. I had an $18 Salmon salad. They have many gluten-free possible items, be sure to let them know. Excellent service. I did not get sick.

I’ve eaten here once pre-Nima sensor and once post. I had the same meal each time (kale apple salad and creme brûlée). The salad is labeled GF, and creme brûlée is naturally GF. I tested the salad and it Nima tested GF, I was assured both dishes would be prepared safely. Did not get sick either time.

Not celiac safe!!! Despite numerous requests to remind chef, I’m contaminated by the chicken, apple, goat cheese salad. Stay away if true allergy.

Ordered a salad with grilled chicken that said gluten free. Got so sick right away and was glutened with cross contamination. Blacked out at table as I have celiac. Also let my server know about my allergy. EMT’s came. Manager said they would call me and never did😢😢

If you are celiac and need to eat safely, this restaurant can accommodate. The GM is celiac and has a separate set of kitchen utensils and pans that are not cross contaminated. Ask for the GM.

I've ordered pasta here. It's okay. However, I was served normal spaghetti once. I took a bite and asked the waitress if it was gluten free since it didn't seem right. She went back to the kitchen, and came back out and informed me it was the regular pasta. Awesome. I haven't eaten there since. It's super uncool to be so careless about food allergies.

Staff tries very hard to make any accommodations requested to insure a GF meal. I usually bring my own GF bun or bread. They do not have a GF menu but will make suggestions or adjustments.

Food is delicious, but they need to post more GF options, and staff need to exude more confidence and clarity about ingredients.

The staff is very helpful and occasionally will send out the chef to assure accuracy. I have always gotten the salmon cooked in a pan instead of the grill (other allergies) also salads with chicken and shrimp, risotto and the pasta cooked in a separate pan/waterThey make a huge effort to please you!

They had no idea what I meant by gluten free. And they were rude. (Well, one girl was rude; the other apologized for her, which is still not okay.) No way will I ever come back.

A few nice GF options. If not too busy, you can take a menu, sit down to read the menu at a table, then get up to order. It is not terribly convenient & would go more often if full service. Will never go if crowded.

Gluten free pasta available

Excellent food, takes some extra time of you order GF pasta, as they make it to order. Staff well educated on GF diet & CC issues in kitchen. Many options, clearly marked on menu by a small " cross" next to menu item. All pastas can be offered GF, upon request. These are not marked GF on the menu ( FYI) , you must request these. Multiple GF desserts that are amazing!

Gluten free options, and very good. It is a semi-service restaurant, where you order and pay first and then they serve everything at your table. Very professional,good service. One star off because I wish it were full service like some other locations.

I have always loved Nordstrom Cafe salads. I ordered the Chicken Apple Goat cheese salad and it was yummy. Told cashier I was celiac and the kitchen changed their gloves for me and were extra careful.

The servers are educated about celiac and they take precautions to make sure they do not cross-contaminate. They have more selections than Starbucks, and they're cheaper, too!

Several options on menu which can be altered to be gluten free. Shrimp risotto dish was amazing.

Great place to grab a light meal at the mall. I have eaten here a couple of times and not had a reaction. Items on the menu are marked that can be gluten free.

They have gluten free pastas and other gluten free options. I got the steak, it was very good.

Nordstrom Cafe saved the day when we found out that Margaritaville at Navy Pier can no longer do GF. Fantastic food and service, all staff was knowledgable about allergens. Mom and Dad had shrimp over risotto with asparagus and the kids had mac & cheese. A pleasant surprise!

So many options from pasta to dessert! Mouse and nordie bar are so good!
