Was hesitant to try Northside because there was no GF menu online and no reviews on Find Me Gluten Free. Took a chance figuring there would be something safe to eat and SO GLAD I did. The chef (and owner) John Scarangella came out and went through the menu with me and let me know what was safe and what could be modified. He was very knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination and said I should not get anything in the fryer because they have one item that is not GF which goes in the fryer. He went through items that could be baked and not fried. On my dish, the “Chicken Picatta-ish,” he substituted GF pasta (cooked separately) for the risotto, as the risotto had some gluten ingredients. I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other delicious foods there.
