Joes has a fair amount of GF options on the menu. If they know you have an allergy or are celiac, they will offer a gluten free roll with your own oil and cheese. It’s not as great as the focaccia, but at least you don’t get left out. The gf options used to get lumped into a separate “healthy” menu for the low carb and vegetarian crowd. Makes me feel like they think gluten free is a lifestyle choice. Last visit, items were marked on the main menu, but everything is different during the pandemic. No dedicated fryer and I don’t think they offer gf pizza. The real pizza is made in a separate area, so lower risk of cross contamination with the main kitchen. Before the rona, the kids could sit at the pizza bar and the cook would give them dough to knead. They loved that.
Only 3 stars because the last few times I’ve been underwhelmed. Maybe covid affected the recent visit, but menu was more limited, both for me (celiac) and the kids (gluten eaters). No gf roll offered. We all felt like the meal was meh. Not bad, just nothing special. It’s nice to know there are things I can eat here if the group chooses it, but I think I’ll pass on Joes for a while.
This location has outdoor seating in the back, which is nice when the weather is good.
