Awful gf burger, limited gf sides. Felt like I ate gluten afterwards. Will never eat there again!

I have been going here for years and they are typically very cautious when dealing with allergies, but my last experience was awful.
I ordered the gumbo and there was a non gluten free noodle inside of it. I also ordered a non alcoholic pineapple painkiller - I'm allergic to ethanol alcohol - it contained alcohol.
Needless to say, I'm incredibly sick. I won't be going back as it seems like their allergy protocols are really taking a nosedive.
Celiacs may want to be very wary of this place.

The gluten free menu was presented at the same time as the other menus and the waiter asked if there were any food allergies before I told them I was celiac. There were plenty of gf options and my Waldorf salad with grilled chicken was plentiful and delicious. I felt welcome here and had no digestive issues afterward.

Average is exactly what you get here. The gluten free menu has many things, but the quality of the food was mediocre at best. And if you are thinking that the $ on the listing means you are going to get a good deal. Think again. This place is definitely on the pricy side.

It was so yummy. They had tons of options... and the regularly offered carrot cake is GF. Everyone gets a GF menu and they mark your order so the entire kitchen team knows. The host and all the waitstaff were well versed in safety measures. Best experience I've had in a restaurant in a long time.

I was so excited to get gluten-free food while visiting family. After speaking with the restaurant staff twice, I was assured that gluten-free was no problem and they could also make sure that my food was also dairy free. We just picked up the food and got it home, after a 20+ minute drive each way, and instead of the gluten-free side I ordered I got *bread.* And instead of no sauce (and specifically no dairy), which we asked for, I got some kind of cream sauce with no lid on it that spilled all over the rest of my food. Ridiculous! I would never go back here again ever.
UPDATE: ever since eating this terrible food several days ago, I have been in digestive distress. I have serious doubts that my food was gluten-free. I do not have celiac, but I am gluten sensitive. Minor cross contamination doesn’t affect me, so I am fairly certain that the gluten-free haddock that I ordered was not at all gluten-free. I haven’t been sick like this since I have been off of gluten, and that has been nearly 6 years.

Chicken Picatta was delicious. I got gluten free rolls with dipping sauce at the beginning. I haven’t been here in year due to limited selections. They’ve increased their gf menu option and I’ll definitely be back.

I am gluten sensitive and allergic to a list of other foods. This place was amazing!! The list of options felt endless. I had the spaghetti squash bolognese. Delicious! The server offered me gluten free dinner rolls! I haven’t been able to enjoy restaurant rolls in forever. Wonderful experience. Will go back, for sure!

I really enjoy going here! The menu is limited and I don’t enjoy a lot of things they have on it but the pesto salmon is so good. I also order the Ceasar salad with Gf croutons (which isn’t even on the menu). The carrot cake is naturally gluten free. The bread they serve as an appetizer has recently improved. It used to be an onion loaf and now it’s plain buns that are pretty good in the oil.
Their cheeseburger is amazing! I also loved the gluten free chicken parm AND the warm roll. They go to a lot of trouble and if shows.
Yes
Disappointed as the menu is not as robust as it used to be and the bread is now a tasteless roll.
Yes
This restaurant offers lots of gluten free options including bread and pasta. The warm gluten free dinner roll was super soft and squishy, and the carrot cake was delicious and moist. Those two items are the best gluten free items I’ve ever had. You would never know that they were gluten free. Highly recommend this place.

Absolutely wonderful meal last evening. The GF bread & dipping sauce was so good. Our waitress Jasmine was very helpful. I also have an issue with casein & the chef came out to offer me another side instead of the coleslaw. No reactions. 5 star in my book!
Yes
OMG the Gluten Free bread is SO yummy! So soft, delicious and spongy... not dry and crumbly like most GF bread.
The GF Chicken Piccata was Awesome!!
They have a separate GF menu (orange) with lots of GF options... even Dessert!
I posted photos but not sure where they went.
The staff was very helpful even in ordering salad dressing and noting which were gluten free and which weren’t!
Honestly, probably the absolute MOST allergy friendly place I have eaten at. The Gluten Free menu options that I have tried are great, and the servers are always so vigilant for food allergies!
Yes
Incredibly celiac and allergy friendly. There are few celiac friendly restaurants in Woodbridge, but this is a safe place with knowledgeable staff. They have a large GF menu, and if you say you have celiac the manager/chef will probably come by or may even wait on you. Several good experiences. Did have one waitress once who was a little off her game since it was a very busy late night and slipped up with regular bread, but I checked before eating it since I’m careful, but it was a good reminder to be extra vigilant.

The food was VERY good, but service was absolutely poor. The service was poor enough that the manager got involved and comp’d our 4 person meal plus a free dessert. The appetizer bread and dip was DELICIOUS! And save a piece for the tomato basil soup. I didn’t love the rosemary mayo on the turkey club, but the sandwich itself was great. My family is all GF(true celiacs) and had the 4 cheese pasta, piccato and jambalaya with NO complaints 👌🏻 the gf carrot cake was a nice change for dessert options.
I have been here three times, and it is one of my favorite restaurants. They bring out great gluten free bread with a delicious olive oil dip. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I have Celiac Disease and I was totally fine eating here!!

One of my go to places for gluten free, the bread they bake is awesome and they always give me some to take home. Can’t ask for a better menu, never had any issues.

It seemed great at first. We even got gluten free bread for the table. Turns out, bread was not gluten free. I ate the whole basket. Now I am Incredibly sick
If I could give this restaurant 100 stars, I would! Impressed from the moment when we walked in the door and were automatically offered a gluten free menu. When we sat down, the waiter noticed the gluten free menu and asked if I had an allergy and explained that they clean the kitchen station and use clean utensils to cook the gluten free items. All of the staff was extremely friendly and personable. The manager, Will, was a very nice gentleman and made sure that we were happy with our food. The gluten free bread and dip was absolutely delicious! I had the chicken picatta and it was very good as well. This will be our go to when we are in the area!

Food is fantastic with a bunch of GF options. They even bring out GF bread with a separate dipping sauce for people with Celiac. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and made sure the risk of gluten exposure was minimized. This is easily one of the best places I've been to for GF food.

Finally a place to eat with the whole family, they even have GF bread! Staff knowledgeable and one has menu choices! Please bring back the GF carrot cake!

I ate there twice in the span of two days and also got a to go order. First time in three years I've been able to have bread to dip in oil and it was the best! The bun didn't hold up but it was the best tasting and even reheated well in the microwave. After eating a basket of bread I could only eat half my sandwiches. One of the best burgers I've ever had and the bacon so good! The main thing I liked about the chicken was the bread. They had to cut the chicken in half and double it up. Four stars is because I
I've been gluten free for about a year but my mom has been gluten free for over a decade so I've been aware and experiencing gluten free for a while, Not Your Average Joe's has, by far, THE best gluten free bread I have ever tasted. All of the food is super fresh and abounds with flavor. They are also VERY accommodating with any food allergy, wheat, dairy, etc. I wish we had one in my home town in Florida, but good thing they don't, my kitchen would fall into disuse.

Always an enjoyable meal! Many options.

I about cried happy tears when they brought me out gluten free bread to have before I ordered. The food was so delicious, did not have any reaction. Will definitely go back!

The staff was very knowledgeable about celiac and the dangers of cross contamination. First time in a long time dining out didn't make me sick. Thanks so much.
Watch your order there. They brought me a salad that looked too good to be true and it was. Luckily I asked first as the gluten version would have made me very sick.
Seriously the best place! Our server was amazing, knew about crosscontamination, celiac, allergies, everything. The bread is DELICIOUS, best gluten free bread I've had, by Gilligan's Foods. He even gave us a couple to take home. Amazing food, service, and atmosphere.

Celiac disease is taken very seriously here and the service staff is knowledgable about the condition. A large selection of delicious food to choose from off of the gluten free menu!
BEST CELIAC RESTRAINT EVER!!! They have gluten free bread which is the best you will EVER taste! Very aware and knowledgeable about the menu. No stupid binder a real menu. And very well priced!!!! Great kids and adult menu RECOMMEND FOR EVERYONE! I have been 20+ times and NEVER got sick!

This restaurant has quickly become my favorite in the DC Metro area. Knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly staff who go the extra mile to make things right...every time. And the GF bread?! YUM! Two thumbs WAY up for NYAJ's!!!

Amazing place! Great food and knowledgeable staff. When you can go somewhere and get g-free bread it's a major plus as you don't feel your missing out in anything.
Called to inquire about allergy protocols before placing a to go order!
Pasta- cooked in the same water as gluten pasta. Not safe!
Burgers- cooked separately from any gluten buns. Bun is also toasted separately. Fries are not gluten free.
Ordered a burger on a gluten free bun with a side of broccoli. Overall it was good but did not come with the sauce as advertised. The bun was not my favorite. Very “wet” and chewy like.

A dedicted gluten free menu, with knowledgeable staff. There is no dedicated fryers, which is sad as the gluten free buns make burgers the perfect go to, and what goes better with a burger than fries?! Chicken parm is also delicious. Our server was even gluten free and was therefore extra careful and attentive.
