Review of Novotel Edinburgh Centre Hotel

Read carefully! We had both a positive and negative experience here. To start with, the staff was very knowledgeable about gluten-free options. Our son and daughter have celiac disease and are extremely sensitive to any gluten or cross contamination. We had a successful dinner here at this hotel restaurant. My kids shared the nachos, my daughter had chicken wings, and my son had gluten-free penne carbonara. We had no problems with gluten exposure cross-contamination and no one got sick. Our brunch however, the next morning, was a different story. The staff labeled the gluten free options and even had a gluten-free toaster available for the bread. Unfortunately, our daughter got back. We don’t know exactly what caused it but we are thinking since this was a breakfast buffet, that there was some cross-contamination. We would definitely go back for dinner but not for the brunch buffet.
