As a coeliac I didn’t feel comfortable eating here. They were upfront about not being able to guarantee no contamination which I appreciated but that was focused on the handling of the bread. Unfortunately the handling of the fillings wasn’t considered so I decided not to eat having watched them prepare it. My other half ate and we paid as I respected their efforts and honesty. I’m sure for those less sensitive than me this place would be fine. The other thing is it’s a small place and yet we had to wait an hour for the food which seemed crazy given its sandwiches. Maybe we caught them on an off day…

Great!!! They share a toaster but have a special paper to go over the bread, and i didn’t have any issues. Coffee is great too! They know celiac, great breakfast experience!!

O NINHO - FAMILY BAR" is a new, one of a kind restaurant cafe in the center of Lagos, we serve the best Italian coffee, amazing homemade cakes and sweets, healthy and fresh-made meals with a wide choice also for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.
Families with kids are very welcome here, as we have a big child-friendly area at the 2nd floor, a cozy room where parents can chill out having breakfast, lunch or simply a snack while their little ones can play and have fun with our educational toys and books for kids in many languages.
O NINHO is both a perfect meeting point for mums and dads with kids and a relaxing place for those who wants to enjoy a tasty break in a positive and friendly atmosphere.

Delicious GLUTEN FREE breakfast / brunch / lunch. Everything with the exception of pancakes can be on gluten free bread, and they have an assortment of gluten free desserts also. This is the first place we have found in our road-trip through Portugal that calls out gluten free on the menu. It’s a really cute place that also has a ton of toys and books for kids, as well as an upstairs play area.

They do their best to prevent cross contamination, but they were also clear they cant be 100% safe. Very friendly staff and quite knowledgeable. The bagel isnt glutenfree, instead they use the same gluten free bread recipe. Its good though. Very sweet and cozy place

Amazing little place! The staff was very friendy and had good knownledge of celiac disece. The chef even made my food first, to avoid possible cross contamination. The food was very good and they have great selection of gluten-free cake and icecream. I recommend this place.

Great family run business very knowledgeable about celiac disease and they took extra precautions when I asked for a gluten free sandwich. Also gluten free and vegan ice cream cones and ice cream.
