I called ahead of time to ask if they could accommodate my children and myself, as we have celiac disease. I was assured that most of the menu was gluten free and they could indeed do so. I was very clear to the server three or four times that we had a severe allergy and to please ask the chef to be sure our questions were being answered accurately. I was served the ckicken mole dish, after asking If it was gluten free of course. I took two bites, and I immediately felt a cascade of total body inflammation begin. I was also assured my children's taco shells were only made of corn flour. They started reacting a few minutes after myself. The server came to the table after I had already taken two bites to tell me that my entree was indeed not gluten free. This restaurant has no business whatsoever being on this gluten free search engine. The symptoms of this major gluten exposure can, and probably will extend for months, and seriously affect the quality of my life. Both of my children are crying with headaches as they are trying to get to sleep. This dinner was the first time they have seen their Grandmother in four years. This incident has completely ruined the one weekend we had to spend with her.
