I’m not celiac so cannot attest to that, but they asked if I was celiac or intolerant to decide just how safe they needed to be. I loved the toasted sandwich I got here - light years ahead of all other meals so far in Ireland :). It plus many gluten free individually wrapped snacks at the checkout counter.
I had a very good soup and toastie combo at O'Brien's. I asked if they could both be gluten free and the sandwich maker confirmed they could be, and asked if I was coeliac. They then changed gloves and used separate equipment to make th toastie. When it was brought out to me the staff member said gluten free which I always appreciate. Very tasty, kind staff, plenty of seating.
Gluten free bread. Staff seemed knowledgeable about celiac's. Sandwich was good. They grabbed a designated cutting board and clean knife and changed gloves. Was gluten free until she grabbed the mayo used with her gloves on for the sandwich and then proceeded to close and cut the sandwich with the same gloves that touched the mayo container- so cross contamination was there but the rest was good.
I had the chicken Caesar sandwich on gf brown bread (B Free). It was delicious and the employee was knowledgeable about what I could have. I noticed that she used a separate cutting board and knife. The only thing I may have noticed in terms of CC is that I think she didn't have a barrier on the shared toaster so there was a chance of crumbs. But here we are hours later and I'm fine. But be aware.
