The chicken sandwich I had was good, but they obviously microwaved the GF bun because there were some hard parts to it. I had a salad with my sandwich because no dedicated fryer. Our waitress was knowledgeable, but the menu was limited for me because I can’t eat beef or eggs. We will go back when we find ourselves at George Mason around dinner time - safe, decent food.
I’ve eaten there many times. I really enjoy their food. They don’t have a gf menu but the waiters I’ve had always gave me the information I needed. I’m celiac and very sensitive to cross contamination. I have never felt like I’ve been glutened. There was once where I didn’t feel great after but I think it’s because I ate a pizza with very rich/fatty meats so that could have been why I didn’t feel so good. I still continue to eat there. I’ve been there about 6 times.
There is not a gluten free menu. The waitress was very kind though not the most knowledgeable about gluten free. I ordered a gluten free hamburger and a side salad. It tasted wonderful. However, a few hours later I was sick. Now I’m not sure if the gluten free bun was actually gluten free.
The staff was knowledgeable and the food was great! Our waiter made a great suggestion to get the brisket tacos on a bun, because they didn’t have corn tortillas. They told us that they had a dedicated fryer but they were not sure if it had been contaminated. Instead I had very good potatoes that were probably better than the fries I was going to get. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and the creme brûlée was great!
Yummy gluten free specialty pizzas on a prefabricated (Reynolds Wrap style) aluminum pan. They offer gluten free buns on request. They don't have a dedicated gf fryer, but you can sub in a side salad. Omission Gluten Free IPA is on the beer menu. They do not have a dedicated fryer. I found the manager to be more knowledgeable than the wait staff.
