Several GF options but what left a very sour taste was the service or lack thereof. We had to ask for a table because the staff didn’t acknowledge us. After a few minutes we had to ask if anyone was going to offer to take our order for drinks because the wait staff ignored us. After one of several apologies because they were ‘busy’, I was told the drinks were on the house because we had to wait so long. I had a burger which came with a GF roll and had to substitute the regular fries with sweet potato fries. The meal was fine. However, in order to pay I had to track down the staff yet again. To my surprise (but then again, not), they reneged on the complimentary drinks. I mentioned that and said, forget it, I won’t be back. The waitress then muttered under her breath “I’m glad”. To me, personally, this is appalling behaviour by an incompetent person who is in the wrong line of work. And hence my low score. I will never, nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

The menu is marked for items that can be made GF and the staff understood GF needs. I had Bangers and Mash and it was GF and fantastic. Regardless of GF considerations this place had a great pub feel to it, but added a few twists to the standard pub menu and I was glad to find it. The wife had grilled chicken with chorizo rice and it was fantastic as well. I sampled hers and had no reaction so I think all of our food was GF. No mention of a dedicated fryer or dedicated preparation space, fwiw.NOTE: There are a number of restaurants along the viaduct in this area that have GF options on their menus, but haven’t yet been reviewed on FindmeGF. Prices are high, but what you’d expect for downtown, waterfront in a big city.
