Ate breakfast here. There are a few items on the menu marked as GF on the breakfast menu, but the waiter seemed knowledgeable about what else could be GF. For example, the omelette was not marked GF but is due the potatoes. I ordered the omelette and they had gluten free bread to substitute instead of the potatoes. The GF bread was very good too. On Sunday brunch the bread is out with the buffet but other days you need to ask for it. The bread is a Katz white bread and they told me it is toasted on the top shelf of the oven for safety. Coffee was also very good. So far, this is one of the better gluten free experiences I have had in Puerto Rico.

Beautiful spot. Serves the main pool at Condado Vanderbilt Hotel and outdoor seating overlooks the ocean.
That said, not a lot of GF options, just a few marked on menu. Wife ordered burger w/ no bun and came out on a bun. Explained to server it was important not to simply remove bun in kitchen and re-serve due to cross contamination but can never be sure that’s what they did.
Not a dedicated fryer.

We are staying at the hotel and breakfast is included which is why we ate here. It is definitely expensive, but the food was delicious. I do have celiac and the team seemed very aware of what that meant. There were gluten-free banana-chocolate muffins on the buffet offerings that were clearly marked, and delicious. Gluten-free bread was offered — and safely toasted. Did not have any reactions. Would recommend for safety, but the price point is high.

Food and service were excellent. GF items are marked on the menu and we were asked about food allergies immediately upon being seated.

They have gf bread. However, I have a dairy allergy and they brought over my breakfast cooked in butter. After trying the food, I could taste it was cooked in butter. Definitely do not recommend coming here if you have allergies.

We stayed at the Vanderbilt and this restaurant is right by the pool. You can eat inside, outside or there is service to the chairs in the sun. The first day for lunch I had a quinoa power bowl, it was delicious and no reaction. The second day we came for breakfast and the server told us the bread is separate for the breakfast so it’s not contaminated. It’s a bit expensive but you can’t pay for safety on vacation!
Yes
Very knowledgeable and accommodating to celiacs. The waiter walked me through the menu and explained which dishes would be fine with minor modifications. Had a salad and chicken w/ mofongo with minimum modifications and both delicious.
Yes
One or 2 safe meals for celiacs. Chefs will work with you.
The manager, Maria, is well versed in gluten free and cross contamination. For breakfast she offered fresh gluten free bread and butter that hadn’t been touched before. And for lunch/dinner they offer gluten free pasta and some great salads as well. Are there 3 times while staying and never got sick.
