The Old Inn & Waterfront Bunkhouse

The server was very knowledgeable and double checked to see what they could do. Aware of the difference between coeliac and gluten intolerance. Doesn't have a separate dryer, so no chips. The chowder and gluten free bread were outstanding. Great atmosphere and music starting at 9 ish. Unfortunately, I did get glutened, so maybe go with the grilled fish.

I ate one of the dishes of the day which was a pan fried sea bass with mash potatoes and greens - it was delicious! I didn’t ask too much about the rest of menu, I chose this special because it looked the most likely thing to be gluten free friendly. The staff were helpful in double checking with the kitchen before placing my order. Super busy, but quick service and great atmosphere.

Very good food. GF items are not marked but ask a server for what is/ can be adapted to GF. Chips are not GF. Be warned, this pub fills up very quickly for dinner as they don't do bookings! We got there at 18:05 on a Monday and it was already full with a waiting list, so get there early or be prepared to wait or to eat outside instead.
