I’m very sensitive celiac and have never had an issue here. Just note your allergy on your order! I get the taco plate with soft corn tortillas

Old Santa Fe is one of those underrated places you can always depend on. The food is consistently great, the service is quick, and the prices are fair. It’s perfect for a casual family meal or a date night with your spouse. My wife and I especially love their cabbage slaw salsa they bring out with chips on Fridays and Saturdays—it’s delicious! The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, and they offer a great happy hour. If you’re looking for solid, no-frills Mexican food with friendly service, Old Santa Fe is a reliable go-to. My wife is celiac and always does well here.

Celiacs and sensitive intolerants, beware!

Several menu items are marked gf, even though they are made in a shared fryer. Crunchy tacos, taquitos, and anything else crispy that is marked on the menu as GF are cooked in the same fryer with gluten things.

Assuming the GF label actually meant gluten free (how silly of me!), I ordered the taco plate. Thankfully, when I mentioned a 'gluten allergy,' the server came back to ask if soft corn tortillas were ok instead of crunchy. I appreciated him catching that, but it would be better if the menu was labeled more accurately.

Had vague symptoms after, which means I'd been cross contaminated. Even without eating the chips or anything else fried, and ordering food labeled GF, some gluten found it's way into my food.

They have their GF options listed in the menu. I had the typical basic tacos with no cheese.
