Gluten pasta was in my gluten free pasta Never going again
My daughter has been eating gf noodles with butter for months to find out today that they said their butter has gluten in it! They also need a better gf noodle. Very bland and dry. Barilla taste better and much cheaper!

I ordered the GF pasta with red sauce...it literally had no taste or flavor. It was gross! I had to ask the lady to put cheese on top and it still didn't help the blah taste. I won't return to pay so much $ for bland pasta.
I wasn't impressed. I had GF pasta with marinara sauce - one of the few things I could eat there. The pasta was overcooked and had broken apart into a million little pieces. For me, that mediocre meal was absolutely not worth sitting in front of a basket of delicious bread sticks that I couldn't eat. I can make MUCH better pasta at home. But if you get stuck having to go there for whatever reason (which was our case), it's nice to know there's something safe available for you to eat. If Olive Garden came up with a good GF version of their bread sticks, they'd have GF folks flocking to their restaurants...and I'd be first in line.
It's gf but terrible. Paying too much for a bowl of overcooked mush w sauce. Stay home and make your own pasta.
Staff were friendly and nice, however the food wasn’t great and I had a reaction later. I’m gluten-sensitive, not celiac, so me having a reaction must mean that the pasta directly had gluten, not just cross-contamination. If I had a reaction I would not advice anyone with Celiac to eat there.
Yikes. Do not go here. They have GF steak with fettucine on the menu, and that is a lie...they brought a plate of steak, mashed potatoes, and 100% glutenous fettucine alfredo. We were so nice about asking "hey, really, are you sure this is GF...? Cuz it looks too good to be true, and wife who can eat gluten says it tastes and feels like regular wheat fettucine...." .... waitress said it must be, since it is on GF menu.... we had her double check anyway...and of course, we were told OOPS, yeah, that is indeed regular fettucine. We tried so hard to let them gracefully make it better, but they offered to just bring an additional side of broccoli, leaving hubby the cross-contaminated steak and potatoes.... we said nah, we will just take food to go and pay for it and wife will eat it and we'll leave and call it a day if that is okay.... waitress tried to take steak and fettucine off bill and manager wouldnt let her! We were like "uh, really...? After we were so nice about this near poisoning....?" And she said manager said we had to pay for all food we were taking home...so we were like ok, then we dont have to take steak and fettucine home cuz we sure can't pay for food you mistakenly brought that wouldve made him really really ill if he had eaten it..." and waitress took that to manager, and it came off bill and we left steak&fettucine behind. We still tipped waitress on both meals bc she was nice despite being foiled repeatedlt by menu and manager. When she saw that, she came back and warmly thanked us AND OFFERED TO SEND US HOME WITH A BAG OF BREADSTICKS.... so....moral of the story: if you are on this app bc you need to eat GF, you CANNOT trust this place.
Sometimes the wait staff isn’t knowledgeable but if you order soup or salad it’s usually okay. I have had visible cross contamination where a piece of pasta is in mixed in where it shouldn’t be. But they always immediately correct it and they’ll get you new food.
You can’t even get a salad here. I would not eat here again unless I wanted to torture myself by watching others eat and to feel nauseous from the smell of gluten lingering in the restaurant. I wish I could give them -1 star. I feel they owe me a star just because they are so not gluten free friendly!
The first time I came here and order gf pasta and they served me regular pasta😡. It was very frustrating because they acted like it wasn’t a big deal. I decided to give them a second try last week and I got very sick after eating here. I would not trust them if you are highly sensitive or celiac.
I went today with my husband. I knew thye did gluten free but I originally could not see much on the general menu. The waitress eventually found the separate gluten free menu, which made it a lot more clearer as to what my choices were. There were 3 choices of entrees, pasta with 2 choice sauces, marinara and meat sauce, of course they'll give you grated parmesan cheese on top if you want. That was $9.99 for the pasta which included an amazing hearty tasty soup or salad as an appetizer option. The grilled chicken option entree was like $12.49 and the salmon like $15. The only fault I have with the dish was I could immediately tell with how yellow the pasta was that it was most likely made from 100% corn, so the cheapest gluten free pasta available.
This was a terrible experience!!! The waiter went out of his way with my salads and he was fantastic. The problem was the pasta. I did a Nima text on it and it tested positive for gluten. I brought it up to the manager and they offered to bring me another plate. I turned it down as I was scared to eat at this point and they assured me I was wrong and it was gluten free. That’s just not the case.
I have celiac and have never had symptoms from eating there. The selections are limited for gluten free., but are getting better. I met girl friends there for lunch once. They didn't have some of the items I asked for, so I ordered substitutions. The other girls had $5-$6 lunches while I was charged $26!.
I think we all know better than to expect a safe experience at Olive Garden, but someday you may find yourself there anyway. Here’s what you can expect: the gluten-free menu consists of tuscan soup, salad, and rotini with marinara or meat sauce. Three items. (And if you happen to also be sensitive to dairy, pass on the soup and salad.) Grilled salmon and chicken don’t contain wheat, but are listed as high risk of cross-contamination due to shared grill. Godspeed. Personally I hope to never return.
Used to LOVE this place prior to Celiac diagnosis. It was a CC nightmare here. Definitely had a reaction even after ordering off the gluten free menu. Server said he was familiar with Celiac but seemed offended when I asked for the GF menu. Their GF menu is only available on the little table kiosk, btw. I will not be going back. Too many issues with two visits post Celiac diagnosis.
Update: I went back and got violently ill off of salad and their gf soup. Normally I have a great experience here, but not tonight. I gave it 3 stars cause normally they are wonderful. I was not given my gf noodles. I asked the server to verify they were correct, because they didn't look like my usual (they were a different type) and she assured me they were. I thought they got in new pasta. I get the receipt and she didn't even ring it up gluten free. I called and talked to a manger when I started to get sick. Lots of confusion on his part on what a reaction to gluten is. I got an apology, a promise to educate the server and I get to pick up a gift card. Not worth it for how I feel!
Please be warned!!! This app says “Gluten Free Menu.” However, Olive Garden itself does not call the menu “Gluten Free,” but rather “Gluten Friendly” (is cross-contaminated). I did not notice this distinction until after I ordered and eaten some of my food. I have Celiac and got sick. If you are non-Celiac, you probably will be fine.
I would give them zero stars if I could. Would not recommend for celiac. Although our server was knowledgeable, my celiac husband’s grilled chicken Parmesan came out with what looked to be breadcrumbs on top. I tasted them and determined it was bread crumbs. He sent it back and they confirmed it was. Offered to make it again for him. He declined, said he didn’t trust them. Manager came out and offered to personally make it for him. He declined. Didn’t feel safe and getting sick isn’t worth it. What’s odd is that I had the regular grilled chicken Parmesan and mine didn’t have bread crumbs.
Ordered gluten free baked chicken parm, and when I received it, it was topped with bread crumbs. The waitress quickly had it replaced and I don't blame her because it was a kitchen error. The ticket with my order clearly stated that I had an allergy and that the meal was to be gluten free. Not a good experience.
We went to Olive Garden and told the waitress that we were gluten-free my wife is a celiac, I eat gluten-free to be on the safe side of no cross-contamination’s. She brought us at our salad with croutons and breadsticks which we of course sent back because we don’t eat it. We ordered the gluten-free rotini with a marinara sauce my wife and I both started to eat our meal and partway through there was a piece of spaghetti in my wife’s meal, regular spaghetti. I asked to speak to the manager to point out the spaghetti and my wife said she was concerned about cross-contamination if there was a piece of spaghetti in her meal she didn’t eat anymore of course, but she also thought did they use the same utensils, which of course would have caused cross contamination. The manager responded by saying that the utensils were in hot water so it kills off any of that, to which my wife says that gluten is a protein in it wouldn’t die off by hot water. Celiacs beware, this place thinks that you can use the same utensils in your noodles whether it’s gluten-free or regular because the utensils would’ve been in hot water, eliminating cross contamination, we all know that’s not true. CELIACS BEWARE!!!!
We had lunch today. There's a separate menu and are server was GF aware. My daughter ordered GF chicken breast and pasta. Unfortunately, she was served regular pasta. She asked the person who delivered the food if the pasta was GF, because it looked the same as her sister's regular pasta. She was told it was GF, but she got violently I'll about 45 minutes later. When I called the restaurant they confirmed that the spaghetti she ate contained gluten, because they do not have GF spaghetti.
