GF Menu was limited but after prompting waitress was able to order GF Pasta Marinara with Italian Sausage. The salad arrived without croutons (as ordered) with dressing on the side but without any notice that the dressing was NOT GF. I had to ask for GF dressing which took 10 minutes to get. Meal was tasty and I did not get glutenned. Special care must be taken when ordering from the unprepared wait staff.
I ordered the Parmesan pesto gluten free pasta and the salmon, both off of the gluten free menu provided. I kept asking every time I talked to the manager and told him my situation right as he came to our table. I got my food, asked again if it was gluten free and was reassured it was not to worry. Halfway through my meal I found regular noodles in my pasta and told him immediately and the manager came and said they have rules to avoid these situations and that the waiter must not have been trained properly. The waiter came back and said he pressed the wrong button and the meal was put in as a regular meal and not gluten free. The manager handled it properly and her reassuring about separate cooking area would be the only reason I would go back.
Friends frequently ask me to eat lunch there. Each time I have had so called gluten free entrées I have gotten sick. The restaurant does not guarantee that items are gluten free.
You have a very tiny limited menu on those crazy little iPads. And don’t have dreams of having appetizers or desserts! It’s salad or 1 kind of soup for an appetizer and no dessert but you can watch everyone else eat dessert!! Never going back. Can make better at home.
Limited items to choose from... Pasta marinara, grilled chicken parm, a fish and a steak. There is one soup you can choose (something with sausage if I remember correctly) or salad without the croutons. That's pretty much it. Like most places, no apps are GF. Not worth the money or time. I make my own Francese, Vodka, Alfredo sauces and a bolognese and experiment with sausages, meatballs, and veggies. They're an Italian restaurant, they can do better than that. I'm an amateur and can make it work. Pinterest it for ideas!
I gave it 4 stars only because there's only 1 dish really available to gluten intolerant people, the gluten free pasta with meat sauce and either sausage or chicken. I wish there was more option but the option available I've never had a reaction to and they take the allergy seriously
They have a gluten sensitive menu with a lengthy disclaimer at the bottom stating basically we will try but there is gluten everywhere. There are no prices and 3 options, one soup, and salad without croutons. The staff was very confident and seemed knowledgeable which was nice. I only had the soup and salad and got sick.
Staff is not educated on what gluten is.. Probably due to the fact that the managers don’t know, either. They have a gluten SENSITIVE menu (instead of a Gluten Free) but there’s a risk for cross contamination due to the lack of knowledge among employees in the kitchen, servers, and due to the fact the gluten free pasta is cooked with the normal pasta.
Recently ate at Olive Garden, the staff was very good and knowledgeable about my wheat allergy. From the gluten free menu I ordered the Soup and the rotini with meat sauce. The soup was even all you could eat and delicious. The rotini was really good too. I had no reactions. I will definitely eat here again.
Not celiac safe. Ordered the gluten free rotini (their only gluten free pasta) and double checked that it would be boiled in clean water. Our server was very caring and helpful and made sure the cook knew we had a child with celiac with us. But we found 2 spaghetti noodles in the dish. Thankfully we noticed before feeding it to our child. Definitely won’t be dining here again.
I got super sick from CC here.
Much better than the last time I tried it. They still need to do some work to have quality gf food, but I was able to have the Zuppa Toscana, gf pasta with pesto and chicken. My family loves OG so it was nice to be able to have dinner there with them. Plus they still have wine!
I should have read the reviews before going here. There were about 5 choices of items to eat on the GF menu. I got really sick afterwards. I'm thinking I might have been cross-contaminated. I told the waiter that I have a gluten allergy and he just brushed it off and said that he would say that on the order. I wasn't impressed with the taste of the food either; the noodles were overcooked. I probably won't go here again.
The gf menu is extremely limited. I decided to go because I called ahead and was told there were plenty of gf options but there was no bread or pasta and I could only have one out of the few things offered. Also my wine glass was very dirty. Not great for a fairly pricey lunch!
Have eaten there a few times and have not gotten sick. The zuppa toscana soup is now gluten free and the salad is as well, if you tell them to absolutely not put croutons on, even if they forget and try to pick them off, I will know. One time the manager came over to tell me how much extra care they were going to give my pasta dish. So...I’m good here...not many places I can say that about.
As a Celiac, it's frustrating they even have a gf menu. I went with family for a holiday and had a gift card, so figured I'd eat a salad. They showed me the menu, which had a gf pasta and then a list of items that were gf... but not for Celiacs. Salad, grilled chicken, and other things were listed. I spoke with two people, who were very poorly trained. The one told me I could have the salad but the dressing may have "a little bit of gluten in it". I tried to explain that things with "a little but if gluten in them" should never appear on a gf menu. That experience left me with very little trust in them. They also offer items such as French fries, in gluten fryers. I won't return to an Olive Garden.
One of the first chains to offer gluten free. They boil gf pasta in same water with regular pasta, just not with the two noodles together. Much much much more than xtamination here. Ive never been back and it was a long while ago. Very bad reputation at this location which is where it was and nationally as well. You cant run fast enough.
As far as the food goes it was good, and the woman up front, Susan, was AMAZING. However, this is probably as far as service goes one of the worst take out experiences I have ever had period. The order wasn't right, the girl who took the order was the rudest person I have ever dealt with period. Firstly the girl barely spoke to me and when she did it was obvious she didn't want to. Secondly, I hand her the cash for the food and she just stared at me. It wasn't until I said something that she even did the cash exchange for me to pay for it. Beyond rediculous.
There was a non-gf noodle in my pasta. I asked the manager and he offered to remake it, but I hadn't found it until halfway through. They do have various allergy menus, and they did remember the croutons on the salad. No gf desserts, and no dairy free/gf menus at all.
Staff was knowledgeable, gluten free menu was on the video screen thingy & clearly marked. Food was good, better on the second visit, nothing to write home about, but I have Celiac and did not get sick, so if I'm in the area, I will eat here again.
Our server was incredibly sweet but had never served anyone with celiac before, so I asked for a manager just to be sure about prep. The manager, Tyler came over and was incredibly knowledgeable about celiac and how everything was prepared in his kitchen and recommended the safest items for me after I told him I did indeed have celiac. Our server after that was very interested in learning a bit about what gluten was as I was her first celiac customer. they were so wonderful!! And the food was delicious!! I was thrilled to find out my old favorite soup was gluten free the zuppa Toscana and then I ordered the parmesan pesto pasta as the manager stated the pastas like that one went through their sautee in completely clean and separate dishes that don't come in contact with anything. the menu the offer is a gluten sensitive menu so I felt better asking because I wanted to check if they shared a grill ( they do share a flat top) so he recommended the other items to me so I chose the best for me:) there are only a few options for celiac suffers other options are more gluten sensitive items. but the food and staff were amazing!
We got a gluten menu that had 4 choices on it was going to leave bc a disclaimer at the bottom said items are not gluten free but waitress guaranteed us hat we would be ok and the meal would deff be fine! It wasn’t five mins away hives kicked in swelling etc
