Huge rave for this place and the very kind owner, Chef Willis! We came from Seattle to try some goodies and we were not disappointed. The scones, biscuits and cornbread were delicious.
My favorite was the pumpkin cinnamon scone, with the bacon cheddar chive biscuit a close second! I cannot wait to come back!!
I cannot say enough about the quality of the baked goods here and the fact it is entirely GF! Others who are not GF cannot tell it is GF it is so good and better than many bakeries with wheat. The owner is truly talented and we are blessed to have such an amazing bakery in our city! The scones are amazing!
This is, the BEST, GF baked goods I have ever had. Got the cheddar bacon scone and the hawaiian style scone. Absolutely insane texture, fantastic flavor, it is honestly impossible to tell these are GF - my dad, a gluten eater, who tries all my GF items with me, agrees these are the best GF baked goods he’s ever tried. The owner is super nice too. Sells out fast! More on @aceliacabroad on Instagram.
Stopped by on a road trip and picked up mixed berry, strawberry lemon, and bacon cheddar scones. They are enormous and so fluffy in texture! I don't do well on highly processed bakery items or much sugar, but I felt great after (I avoided the frosted scones for lower sugar and was really appreciative that some are made without). The scones are large enough for 2 to 3 servings and hold up amazingly a day later (I just had the second half of one I kept sealed tightly on my counter). Wish I lived closer!
As stated, everything is gluten free so cross-contamination isn’t a concern. I ordered the Apple streusel and it was absolutely delicious! We got got there 2 hours before close but it was warm and tasted fresh out of the oven.
They call this a bistro but the options in general are quite limited and not super vegetarian friendly. When we were there they only had two soup options (in addition to baked goods) and neither were vegetarian so we left with just bakery items.
What a delightful little bakery and soup joint! The chef was welcoming, and his scones were phenomenal. A lot of gluten-free baking can be dense, crumbly and tasteless, but the three scones we tried were spongey, buoyant and flavorful. Also loved the broccoli cheddar soup. Perfect for a cold, rainy day.
I consider this my favorite gluten free establishment, bar none. When I travel l make a point of trying every dedicated gluten free bakery I can find. No one else comes close.
Olympia baking Co makes the best scones, savory or sweet, that I’ve ever eaten and this includes my pre-celiac days.
Highly, highly recommended.
Went here for the first time and was blown away. I wish I had tried them sooner! I got the Hawaiian scone and the texture was incredible.
These baked goods taste amazing! I especially like the savory scone with cheddar, bacon, and green onion but everything I have had here (and I get baked goods here a LOT) has been delicious. My husband who has no gluten issues loves them as much as I do. It is an owner operated business and the young man who owns it is always friendly and pleasant to deal with.
We had multiple different flavors and each were great! I will admit I went into it assuming it was going to be pretty brittle and dry, however I was delightfully surprised with how much it actually tasted like (what I remember to be) an actual scone! I will say a bit sugary for my taste but my gosh it was great! 10/10 customer service from Chef Willis and just a great wholesome experience over all, absolute gem of a find!
