We had a nice meal (DD and I are both Celiac), staff was very well versed and the menu was all notated about what was GF. My daughter really was hoping for French fries and they were marked GF on the menu but when we asked the waitress she explained that while the fries themselves are GF that they have a shared fryer which makes them not GF. I had a Greek salad with grilled chicken and my DD had roast lemon chicken with potatoes and rice. Sadly no GF pita and the outside of the restaurant was a bit run down looking but the food was good and safe.

The menu clearly indicated gluten free items with a symbol and there were quite a few options available. The waitress was very knowledgeable and made suggestions. She asked if I was celiac and mentioned the possibility of cross contamination on certain choices. Overall it was a great experience, the food was delicious. I felt very confident ordering and eating here.

Lots of GF options on the menu, staff was knowledgeable enough, but had a small amount of cross-contamination based on my symptoms following my meal. Slow slow service. Dirty facilities.

Go into the Cafe! Super helpful and wonderful food. I walked in and asked what they had that didn't have wheat. The cook started listing items and made me wonderfully delicious food. THANK YOU!!!! The cashier/coffee guy was also super helpful and nice as well.

I ordered the seared shrimp and scallops. I was very excited due to the large amount of gluten free options and some of the staff seemed very knowledgeable. One staff first said that they did not have any gluten free options in his opinion, but then another said that there was (which may show there is a lack of training regarding gluten free and celiac). I experienced an extremely bad reaction shortly after eating. If you are extremely sensitive I would avoid eating at this establishment or avoid this meal.

Fantastic food! Bursting with flavor and some of the best food I have ever had! My party of seven was completely gluten free and they were very accommodating, knowledgeable and made it easy! Please note they do not have a dedicated fryer. But they were knowledgeable enough to mention this and recommend not to eat the french fries if someone was very sensitive. Would definitely come back! Next time we are in the area, we will be sure to visit! I called ahead and they even saved a table! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! I have come here many times! Always great food and fantastic service! Can’t go wrong!

Didn’t give them a 5 star because the waiter messed up our appetizer and included regular bread. I called the hostess over and she made sure to make things right. Food was delicious and did not get sick. You just need to make sure the waiter/waitress adhere to the GF issues you have.
Has many GF options.

Very vast menu. Staff is knowledgeable and even though menu says Gyro is GF it is not but the chicken kabobs are awesome!!!

DON’T GO HERE. YOU WILL READ REVIEWS AND THINK THEY HAVE CROSS CONTAMINATION DOWN. THEY DO NOT.
This place talks a good game but when the chips are down, they don’t know what they are doing. My husband and I went in on a slow day. Only one other table. We explained celiac disease and cross contamination. I am incredibly sensitive. The wrong toaster or fryer puts me down for months. We explained that too. Said we would order anything safe.
The waitress, Katie, seemed competent. She brought GF bread, which I didn’t touch just in case. Then all hell broke loose.
1. The salads came with packs of crackers
2. The salads were basically piles of ice burg lettuce in creamy dressing
3. The Fisherman salad said crabmeat. I know we should have asked more questions but this is a nice place with lamb chops on the menu
4. My husband noticed it was fake crab, so we asked the hostess to check. She was not happy
5. The kitchen said, “if you ordered it GF, that’s how you got it”
6. We explained about the way fake crab often has wheat in it
7. Hostess went to check. She came running back saying she was so sorry. It was not safe
8. She asked our server to come over
9. Server did not. I had to leave. I had had a bite and I wanted to throw it up
10. Restaurant refused to take menu item off the bill
11. So, I’m in the hotel room, throwing up a dinner I paid for, which was advertised GF but wasn’t.
Don’t eat here.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Wide variety of gluten free items to choose from and not just salads like every other restaurant considers a gluten free option. They had GF bread that was so light and fluffy I had to ask if they’re sure!! Prices were very reasonable and the portions were huge. Definitely felt we got our monies worth and a delicious meal.

Amazing food! Servers knowledgeable. So many options. GF bread! Haven’t had a bad meal here.
Yes
Staff has zero idea what gluten free is....they were telling me vegan options that had wheat?!? Shared surfaces/fryers. Avoid if you have celiac disease!
No
I had the Greek salad with Gyro meat and ended up getting a reaction. I called the restaurant, the hostess immediately put the owner on the phone and he offered to mail me my money back and take it off the gluten free menu. He was very remorseful and empathetic which eased my mind.
No
I have celiac’s. They are very knowledgable about GF with such a great menu.
I’m also Greek and their food is just like on the islands! Highly recommend

Fabulous experience! Menu is clearly marked with GF options and there are several appetizers and a few entree’s. Authentic Greek dishes are well portioned and delicious. Our server was Meredith and she was very knowledgeable friendly and informed me of all the options as well as making sure the kitchen was aware. Will definitely be back, I am celiac and did not have any noticeable reaction.

I had the best GF bun ever on a sandwich. I wish I could order them it was so good. We just had lunch here but it was all good. Of all the places we ate in Savannah this is the first place I would go back to.

Menu is marked which items are gluten free. Lots of options. Waitress bent over backwards for us. Best gf hamburger bun my daughter has ever had.

A server spoke with a member of our group who has allergies to gluten, dairy, and shellfish. I have gluten sensitivity, and neither of us had any problems later. They were very helpful. Most of the seafood dishes can be modified for special dietary needs, and our meal was outstanding. We actually made another reservation before leaving the premises. One of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time.
One of the best GF experiences we’ve had. My wife is allergic to both Gluten and Corn, and we had no problems here. The waitress knew all the ingredients of all the dishes. The Gluten free menu is huge, and they are knowledgeable about cross contamination. Highly recommend this place!
Huge GF menu...very careful! Lots of options from Burgers to Stuffed Grape Leaves and everything in between. Really good GF buns!!

Staff was really kind and patient with all of my questions, the food was delicious and I didn’t feel sick!

Great tasting salad with a side of GF bread. Staff was knowledge about gluten contamination
Yes
Knowledgeable staff, met owner before wait staff because he was out meeting customers, gluten-free bread option, menu marked with gluten-free choices. Watch out for Celiac/cross contamination potential. I ate everything I wanted with knowledge of what to avoid for possible cross-contamination or my combined personal knowledge and wait staff knowledge of what ingredients normally make up (say gyro meat usually made with bread crumbs=not likely GF). No issues after eating messy style appetizers for my meal.
Walked in and asked the sever/hostess how well they handle celiacs and she had no idea what I was talking about. When prompted gluten free handling not just options she expressed she had no idea and that we could talk to the kitchen guys next door. I walked over saw the kitchen and walked out. I didn’t eat here and if your sensitive I wouldn’t risk it.
They have tons of GF options. I had the dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) and my boyfriend had the lamb shank. Both were absolutely delicious!
DELICIOUS! I got the chicken kabob platter. The bread is so good you’ll question if it is GF. My husband couldn’t even tell the difference and had to ask.

Fantastic food and a knowledgeable staff. We're definitely going back!

Great menu & hostess was knowledgeable. Server met my cross-contamination questions with eye rolls & a foul attitude. I'm guessing gf allergy requests get old, but my daughter becomes very ill from cc, so we always ask. Food was great.
Lots of GF items labeled right on the menu, very tasty! GF bread available served with meals!
Delicious meal! GF bread brought to the Table! I had the lemon chicken and lemon potatoes. Superb meal with such flavor! They know all about keeping things safe for people with celiac! I cannot give this restaurant enough stars! It is a must in Savannah!
Yes
Very knowledgeable about gluten free and has many options.
Waiter was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Brought gluten free bread to the table which was wonderful. Food was excellent!
Very good food! The staff was knowledge and they had a lot of gf options on the menu.

YOU MUST EAT HERE! The food is great, super allergen aware, even cut up a bun, dry toasted it, so I could have something to dip in my hummus since I can't eat the pita. Delicious, authentic. Highly recommended!
Yes
so you wouldn't know it from their website, but there print menu has gluten free items clearly marked... and there is a lot to choose from. I had the dolmades dinner plate and it was excellent!
Waitress Erin was very knowledgeable. Baked and blackened fish safe. Provides me GF bread.
There is not a separate printed GF menu but the waitress was highly knowledgeable and so helpful with recommendations as we dined here for lunch. She informed us that they have GF flour and can fry things separately (in a pan) to convert many items on the menu into safe options. Their deep fryer is not celiac safe, so no french fries, but we were thrilled with their ample selections and had so much else to order that we didn't care; my husband was able to order fried fish for the first time since his diagnosis in 2014! Their appetizers in particular were exceptionally delicious, and in lieu of pita they offered grilled GF bread. We couldn't get over how helpful, attentive, and knowledgable the staff was. This is clearly a restaurant that cares about its patrons and is willing to do what it takes to keep us well fed and healthy. We left with big smiles on our faces.
Yes
Staff knowledgable and service was good. Gluten free rolls were warm and tasty. I had lamb chops and they were ok but not the best I've had. There was no GF dessert as a previous poster mentioned.
We have known Nic and Vas (the owners) for over 20 years. We have been to Olympia more times than we can remember. When we found out 2 of the 5 members of our family were Celiac it really limited where we could eat out. On one visit to Olympia the subject came up. Nic then spent a lot of time researching Celiac, gluten allergies and gluten intolerance. The next time we came in he brought us gf bread, gf saganaki (flaming goat cheese, so yummy), gf fish sticks and chicken fingers for our daughter. It was so nice to have those items! you can have any breaded fish done safely in gf flours. Our last trip in I told Nic I really missed eating baklava. It has been at least 3 years. He said next time he would have it. So let them know you are gluten free/Celiac and they will serve you a meal you didn't have to change for your diet restrictions. So good. We love Olympia!

We came in because it was recommended by a friend, we mentioned that my lady was gluten free and right off we were seated, they brought me French bread & gluten free also. There were options that were gluten free, and fresh fruit and other desserts were available. We were delighted, by the entire experience!
