The waitress didn’t seem very comfortable or familiar with serving someone with a gluten allergy. She said only certain kinds of sushi could be made gluten free. I asked about having clean hands or new gloves and a clean surface and utensils that hadn’t touched wheat. I’m not sure whether they took those precautions or not. I ended up having two kinds of Maki sushi. She did bring gluten free soy sauce over. I didn’t ask whether the wasabi was GF (they were also very busy) and so didn’t have any. I don’t get gluten symptoms so can’t give that info.

Overall it might be that particular server that wasn’t as familiar and maybe if I had asked to speak to the chef or called in advance I might have had a better experience. It seems like a nice place otherwise. They had some interesting vegetarian (likely vegan) options like roasted oyster mushroom and some types of tofu, but it didn’t seem they could be made GF. Someone who is less sensitive might enjoy coming here. My fellow diner liked the chicken noodles (not GF) she got.
