On's Thai Express

On’s Thai Express is a new business building on their other/previous locations. It’s a very small takeout space with a couple of tables. I told the staff I had a “gluten allergy” and she specifically asked me if it was celiac, so she was knowledgeable enough to know what to look out for. There is a hot bar to select from, but from talking to staff this area is not celiac safe and she said that she’d make me a fresh order instead. She recommended several dishes (two curries and the pad Thai), noting that the Panang curry had oyster sauce and she would omit it to be gluten free. I got the panang curry and pad Thai to go and both were great! She said they use gluten free soy sauce but as noted, the oyster sauce in some dishes needs to be omitted to make them GF.

I was so happy to have the staff work with me to let me know the best options! She even asked me if I was ok with dairy before making my order.

Update: I ordered online for take out tonight, selecting the Laab with chicken. It is marked gluten free on the menu. Delicious! I will be getting it again!
