Menu doesn’t have GF items marked but many dishes naturally wheat free. Have to deconstruct dishes but haven’t had any issues. Definitely a cross contamination situation in the making. Get the grilled octopus when I go.
By nature Mexican restaurants have quite a few options, but my waiter was not knowledgeable or cautious. I explained Celiac, that I had a “gluten allergy” and that anything with gluten would make me incredibly sick. I was interested in a taco that had BBQ sauce and was told 3 times that they were gluten free. I finally pointed out that BBQ often has gluten and requested, again, that the waiter check with the chef. The chef confirmed the BBQ sauce DID have gluten. I picked a GF taco and it was delicious, but I’m very concerned about how non-chalant my waiter was.
