Orchard Lake Mezza Restaurant

Menu didn't specify gluten free items. When I told the waitress I had to eat gluten free, she went through the menu with me and what choices I had. My daughter and I were going to share a vegetarian platter, I asked the waitress to separate the gluten free items on its own plate. Unfortunately, she brought everything on 1 platter so it was all cross contaminated. Very disappointed! When I pointed it out and said I had celiac, she apologized and said "oh, I thought you were just someone that didn't like gluten, not that you had celiac." She then brought out new food for me and didn't charge for it. Lesson learned - have to be vigilant and really specify absolutely no gluten!
