Had a tough dinner here. Our waiter was not knowledgeable of gluten, and we also had someone with GF and DF. Felt very uncomfortable, had to call Manager. The food was good, but made for a difficult experience.
Had a wonderful and safe breakfast here. The mochi waffle with coconut syrup was amazing. House made corned beef hash with poached eggs was delightful. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about gluten and checked with the kitchen on a couple of questions we had without complaint. Highly recommend. Portion sizes are big so order to share.
Mochi waffles are NOT Celiac safe! Server told me the kitchen uses a shared waffle iron. Thankfully he asked if it was a preference or Celiac. I had two scrambled eggs with potatoes and my husband had eggs Benedict. It was $95 with tip. Go to Lulu’s for the mochi pancakes. You’ll spend half that for a tasty breakfast and a gorgeous view of the beach.
Excellent experience. Menu was marked, and server was knowledgeable. He talked to chef about modifications for items that aren’t typically GF. Definitely felt safe as a celiac and food was delicious. Would return!
Breakfast at Orchids was a success - Mochi waffle GF - was a great option GF toast - spreads and fruit also available. Service was on point. $$.
It was very good and safe. Employees were kind and knew what they were talking about.
Excellent experience. Several gluten free options for dinner. No reaction!
The menu had a number of gluten-free options listed and the staff were also able to talk to other items which can be made GF. They specially sourced me some yummy GF bread. The service was great and the food was amazing. Loved
Incredible dining experience. GF bread brought to the table. We tried a handful of appetizers and the entrees were incredible. Such a romantic, safe experience.
I stated I was gf and waiter was very knowledgeable and put me at ease. They make own gf bread and pasta on site. I ordered a delicious fish dish and the side was an asparagus flan and was immediately told when I ordered it that it would be replaced with asparagus which just shows the knowledge and attention to detail.
I had breakfast here three days and dinner once. Staff was aware of celiac disease. I ordered an omelette twice for breakfast and the mochi waffle once. Dinner was very limited - only one item, fish, was recommended.
Amazing service. Very knowledgeable. Gf bread option! Ask for olive oil for DF available. They have 1 gf dessert option, or fresh fruit for DF (OMG pineapple). Beautiful views! Plus outside you get the music & hula dancing from House without a key next door. Would definitely go back!
Great view but really over priced. Served me the wrong dish, served me food with gluten and I had a bad reaction. The service was poor as well. As soon as they found out I had an issue they quickly threw the check on the table and dismissed Us. We did speak to manager who invited back to breakfast the next day but we didn't feel at all confident the unknowable staff could feed us safely. Will not return
I told my server I have celiac disease, and he immediately knew what that was and said he would let the chef know. The menus are clearly marked as to which dishes can be made gluten free (but do specify when ordering), and I was delighted that most dishes were! Every time my food was delivered, the servers verified that it was gluten free without my asking. It made me feel very comfortable and well looked after. They even have house-made gf bread. It was sandwich slices, but it was delicious! I wish I could buy a loaf. Unfortunately they don't have much to offer for gluten free dessert, but I was so full it didn't matter. Wonderful!
