Oregano

I often eat at Oregano and they are careful about cross contamination! Pizzas and pastas can be gluten free

We have come to Oregano 5 times and EVERY time we have had the best service and incredible food. The wait staff and chefs completely understand gluten. The GF pizza is delicious and they have rice or corn pasta (the bolognese is DELISH!). James is so attentive and funny. He works hard to please everyone and makes the experience seem intimate. A must in Williamsburg.

The waiter did not seem to know what was gluten free on the menu, and the pizza was not great

The kitchen is small but they do their best to accommodate an allergy. I did not try the pizza since they said it was cooked in the same oven, but they were willing to cook the pasta completely separately so I went for that it was very tasty. However, the waitress did warn me that on a busier night they may not have been able to do that and would have cooked the gluten free pasta in the same pan as the regular pasta (hence 4 stars). The waitress seemed knowledgeable and the food was good, but definitely explain to them it’s an allergy.

They were friendly and obviously make an effort to cater to gluten free. I had the Oregano gluten free pizza and it is the best pizza I have ever had! I love zaatar and I love pizza without tomato sauce, so I'm totally biased but it was amazing. The gluten free crust was so good. Also, my husband ordered some garlic bread and they brought a bowl of olives with it so I would have something too. Very thoughtful.
