Hi, I recently found out I’m very sensitive celiac and I also work at the OG sub shop! So lemme fill ya in:)
- They have gluten free bread and they cover it in parchment paper on the grill.
- You can get any sub as a salad or choose a salad that’s on the menu.
- Almost all the sides are gluten free with 0 cross contamination (except the macaroni and Greek pasta salad) because we put them in containers. (We make the mayo in house and it’s vegan also. Best mayo ever it’s so good). If you order the hummus ask for GF bread and veggies instead of grilled pita. My favs are the curry chicken salad side and the potato salad.
- Soups and chili: always gluten free. They do come with grilled bread so you can switch that out with GF bread as crustinis instead.
- Deserts: they’re not gluten free but you can call ahead (not the same day) and ask the owner to make some gluten free cookies. She made me some chocolate chip cookies with almond flour when I found out I’m celiac and they were still the best cookies I’ve had since finding out. I ate them for a few days and still delicious!
*if you do have a bad gluten allergy let them know and they’ll do their best to accommodate but at the end of the day it is a sub shop so there may be some small cross contamination on the line. If it’s not busy and you’re rlyyy sensitive they can use the back up containers of the toppings to use instead but remember they do cover the bread with parchment paper on the grill:)
Hope that helps! 🤍
