You will need to make a reservation early on to get a table because it is very popular
Very lovely staff. Brought me free gluten free bread and made it very clear what I could eat on the menu. The bread was amazing. The pasta was nice too but the dish I ordered wasn’t amazing. But for the inclusivity and lovely staff I have nothing but praise

Home of the internet famous Parmesan cheese wheel truffle pasta! Noodles are boiled separately, and they use a separate cheese wheel in the back for gluten-free pasta. Bummer that you don’t get to watch it, but excellent safety procedures! Just get a non-gf member of your party to order their own for you to watch, or watch it happen at a nearby table. The pasta was yummy, but I wish it had a vegetable or protein to shake things up. They also gave me my own gluten-free bread, along with a burrata to dip it in, making it even better than the bread the rest of my gluten-eating family got! It’s a bit gloomy inside too, but I think overall it was worth the experience! Definitely make a reservation so you’re not stuck in the gigantic line out front.

Great place! Very knowledgeable and accommodating of celiac. I ordered their famous truffle pasta. They make it in the back, not in the tableside cheese bowl to avoid cross contamination. The pasta was fabulous and the tiramisu was the best dessert I had in Florence.

One of the best meals i’ve had in my 3 months of living in Florence. They started off with a glass of water, GF bread upon request, and mozzarella. I got their most popular truffle cheese pasta that usually comes in the cheese bowl. This dish isn’t made in front of you in the cheese dish if it’s GF, but it is still prepared the same with the same kind of noodles. The pasta was AMAZING, and will be a meal that I won’t stop thinking about. They had GF tiramisu as well that was so good. The interior was so cute, and the atmosphere was amazing. 10/10 space and the seemed to know what they were doing with celiac and I didn’t get sick!

Servers were very aware of my need for GF food (they even confirmed the request in the reservation when seating us). I got my own gluten free bread upon request. The social media/viral pasta mixed in a cheese wheel is served here. However, the GF version of that dish is cooked in the kitchen and you won’t get to have your dish cooked at the table side.
The food (including dessert) was tasty.
A few things of note:
1. This is a very touristy place so the prices were inflated (flaming pasta wheel is ~€27!)
2. The restaurant has very bad ambience. No design or atmosphere inside. And communal tables? Not my personal preference.
3. Service was a mixed bag - some servers were friendly or helpful and others seemed miserable.

This is an excellent restaurant near Santa Maria Novella! At the beginning of the meal a glass of prosecco is brought to you. When you say you have Celiac disease they bring you very good GF b read and some mozzarella. Non gf diners get their own bread in a basket. I was able to order from the appetizers, the firsts, and some of the desserts. I didn't ask which secondi were available to me.The GF tiramisu was wonderful. They make their own pasta there but kept my food separate. My pasta was excellent and I did not get sick. A glass of limoncello is brought at the end of the meal. A reservation is highly recommended plus aiming for a later time slot (1:30 for lunch) can help, otherwise they kind of rush you out since they have so many people eager to eat there.

The food was amazing. We got there early to try to get in when they opened and we were lucky enough to get seated. They are usually super booked so try to get a reservation, if not get there 30 or 1 hour earlier than their openings (12 pm for lunch and 7 pm for dinner). The waiter recommended the gluten free truffle alfredo, so I got that. It was seriously so incredible. Not overpowering truffle flavor, delicious Alfredo sauce, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Also someone on this app recommend the gluten free tiramisu, so I got that. It was to die for. I'll be dreaming about that tiramisu now. Wish you the best of luck getting seated at the restaurant. It is worth the hype.

We didn’t realize it but this place is apparently very popular and featured online frequently. The wait was about 45 mins without a reservation for lunch. They have gluten free pasta and tiramisu. The menu was not great for anyone who is vegetarian or a less adventurous eater. There is a game, duck, octopus, etc. The signature dish is a fettuccine Alfredo that is made table side. It’s good but at 27 euros it seems like they have found a gimmick to up the price of a fairly simple menu item. Overall, it was good but maybe not worth the wait. Make a reservation if you want to eat here

Staff was knowledgeable about GF and brought out gluten free bread when asked. My entire family ordered the truffle cheese wheel pasta and they prepared the gluten free separately in the back. After trying my pasta, my family stated that the GF didn’t have nearly as much flavor as the regular. Overall it was okay but not the best I’ve had for that price.

I was so excited this restaurant advertises gluten free. I have a family of 5 and I’m the only Celiac. We ordered the assortment of local cured meat cheese and crostini. They brought all gluten free crostini - although we let them know the rest of the family was fine. We simply asked for them to separate the crostini. It was amazing. The rest of my family members even enjoyed! I had the Flambé tagliatelle with truffle in grana Padano cheese wheel. They prepare this for gluten eating customers in the actual cheese wheel but prepare the gluten free separately in the kitchen. I asked several times if they cook the gluten free pasta in separate water. They said yes. So far I feel fine! It looked amazing. The taste was blander than the regular (taste tested by my daughter) I would give it a 7.1 rating. I would recommend especially if you have gluten eating family members. It’s the best meal I’ve had so far in Italy. I will update if I get sick tonight!

Had a great experience at Osteria Pastella. They were able to make my gluten free pasta in its own dedicated cheese wheel in the kitchen while my girlfriend had her flour pasta made in the cheese wheel at the table. It was fantastic pasta, highly recommended
