Atmosphere is nice and Otro had a reputation for great food for a reason. The menu is marked for vegan and gluten free options, but some of them are misnomers. Anything that’s marked as a gf entry with flour tortillas just expects you not to eat any tortillas as they won’t substitute them for corn. So if you’re OK with mostly salads or non-carb versions of what everyone else is eating you can have a good time.
— Gluten-free items are marked on the main menu
— Some
— Good
Skip Otro if you’re celiac or simply GF. They are not accommodating / have easy substitutions. Minimal knowledge on GF cross contamination.
— Not at all
— No gluten-free information on the menu
— Not Much/None
— Poor
Below was my review 7 months ago and at that time it was 5 stars. Things must have changed. I was told by a server I could no longer eat there and all things fried, chips, are in a shared fryer. He also told me cross contamination is high and isn’t safe for me with Celiac. Old post following unfortunately “I have celiac. I tried Otro because of the one posted review; I was not disappointed. So much so, I ate there two days in a row. I had chilaquiles with green sauce and chicken and also tried it with the red sauce , oh so delicious pazole and flan, flan both days. "We take allergies and diet issues seriously" and I believe that to be true. There are a number of menu items listed as GF, but there are also items not listed than can be made GF, you have to ask. I can also recommend the Bloody Mary with Titos.”

Staff is very knowledgeable regarding your dietary requirements. Recommend guacamole, ahi tuna tacos, pork belly tacos and the amazing pazole.
